Our Tuggeranong Boot Camp girls got an arm flogging today. Not often is it a relief to do a 400m lap with star jumps, but when Jenna and I say random hair day, we mean it! Arms were collapsing out from under the girls as they went down on their towels and swear words were the extent of the vocabulary. Unless your Britt, and can talk under water. Super work today girls, the session flew through.
Just a reminder Indoor Boot Camp starts on 14th May. We can only take a small group in the hall, so first in best dressed. $300 for the 6 weeks, Monday and Wednesdays.
Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Wednesday 18/4/12
Canberra Half Marathon – Sunday 15/4/12
Pioneer Training is breeding some awesome runners! Our whole Team had finished the scenic 21.1km run in under 2hrs 5min. Kate nearly cracking 1:50! Kate, Christina and Jane all completing their first attempts at the half. Blaydo and I out to beat our times from last year. Everyone crossed the finish line with a big smile and to a big cheer from the girls and family members that came out to support. Great effort girls! Jenna and I are super proud of you all.
Mountain biking to Majura Vineyards – Sat 14/4/12
On Saturday 15 Pioneers embarked on one of our most challenging but funniest adventures to date. A huge 3 hours of riding ahead of us and we hadn’t even left the carpark before Ursula had her first stack. That was first of many for the group, we had people flying off tracks, falling in mud pools, hanging from trees, jumping logs, and best of all, in hysterics with laughter. Quite a challenging course for most of the group, some of the single tracks got the better of us, and we have the blood and bruises to prove it. After a great time on the bikes, we rode on into the Majura Vineyard with our 3 instructors where all our deck chairs, wine and platters were set up waiting. Collapsing into the chairs we laughed and exchanged stories whilst enjoying the harvest festival band. After a massive day our instructors packed up our gear, loaded us on to the bus and took us home. Absolute terrific day!!! Jenna and I would like to thank the group for a very memorable day
and a big thank you to Rohan and his crew for an awesome adventure!
X-Training – Saturday 7/4/12
In preparation for the Easter festivities, Jenna and I ensured the group started the weekend in a calorie deficit. Girls were topping their PB’s in calorie counts. Numerous times there were dry heaves, and heart rate averages were over 80% for the session. It was an awesome group of Pioneers that smashed out the hour today. Everyone stepped up to the challenge and gave it their all. Have a great Easter everyone! Just a tiny treat, don’t over indulge
Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Friday 6/4/12
The Tuggies Boot Camp girls were still up before the sun on this public holiday and were ripping up the dirt on Urambi Hill. Committed to their goals, the group worked super hard and were high fiving each other and encouraging for the whole hour. Great finish to a big week girls, rabs and I are super proud!
Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Wednesday 4/4/12
Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Week 3: Monday 26/3/12
Calories were on the agenda this morning, and we burnt huuuundreds of them! Average heart rates were above 150 for the hour and our highest calorie burn for one of our ladies was 790. The girls only had 5 x 30 seconds rest, and even though it was dark for 50mins of the session they absolutely flew through the session! Super proud of your effort today girls
X-Training – Saturday 24/3/12
The all girl group took a bit to get going this morning but once they warmed up they were flying through the reps and racing across the court. A big interval session had the girls burning over 500 calories with only 30 minutes of work.
A big shout out to our Pioneer Katie who is getting married today! You look amazing buddy, we are super proud of your achievements. Rock that dress!
Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Wednesday 21/3/12
The Tuggeranong Boot Camp girls are going to be the quickest we have seen them, smashing out another speed session today. A million bars and dumbbells set up at the main beach at Pine Island, the girls were given their goal for the session of 5 sets of 50 reps and a 1km sprint. The girls were pumped for a big one and smashed out 5 – 7kms and over 300 reps in the 40mins. Fantastic works girls!
