We know who the hardcore Pioneers are, and they showed up in the rain this morning for a massive session at Lake Tuggers. The 21 girls that did show put in over 6km of running, hundreds of upper weight reps and at least 3kg worth of mud on each step. Well done girls, Jenna and I were very proud of your runs this morning
Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Friday 3/2/12
Boxing – Thursday 2/2/12
13 Pioneers scoffed at the rain tonight and smashed a huuuuuge session out on the oval. Those princesses that didn’t want to get their hair wet missed a 650 calorie session. Time to step up guys, it’s canberra, you stay st home every time it’s miserable outside you are never going to get your goals.
Civic Boot Camp – Thursday 2/2/12
The Civic Boot Camp ladies flew through their session today and the only time they stopped was to try and hold down the vomits. We turned Regatta Hill into a Wipeout Zone with the launching sprinkler systems, but the girls sidestepped well, and splashed through the puddles with ease. 5min lactic runs around the grassy nole and we set challenges to help with that extra push. It was unreal to see the speed of the girls and their determination to give it their all in the hard 5min slog out. It always puts a smile on a trainers face to see someone head for the lake to have a quick vomit. Fantastic session girls, be very proud of yourselves.
Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Wednesday 1/2/12
After the girls disappointment with not having a slip and slide at Urambi Hill on Monday they were pumped for todays session. Heads down bums up, the groups worked well together and smashed out a big session. A big congrats to Fiona who made it around the oval without stopping this morning and well done to Marielle and Julie for all their encouragment to her to get her across. A bit of a rest day with the running today…. you know what that means for Friday girls
Civic Boot Camp Week 4 – Tue 31/1/12

The girls were thanful this morning that the weather was not like yesterday. The poor Tuggies girls session was cancelled due to the torrential down pour and you would have seen them floating off Mt Urambi.
So the Civic girls were given dumbbells and boxing gear and had a huge session ahead of them. Everyone stepping up to the plate today putting in a massive effort for the hour. Great work today ladies.
X-Training Saturday 28-1-12

A huge group this morning and we welcomed three new faces Jess, Lucas and Sarah to the group. Not the best session to start on as it was the biggest session for 2012 so far. Loads of running with quick rep strength work in between. As you worked your way through the exercises the surprise at the end was a 600m run. A huge session by everyone today, no one sent to the pole and filthy looks at trainers! All up a fabulous way to start the weekend.
Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Friday 27/1/12

Pioneer Training style fun run this morning…only we do it with tyres, logs, weight vests, med balls above the head and dumbbells. The girls pumped out their biggest session yet this year wrapping around 6km’s of pine island. Nearly 700 calories burnt and still our new girls were smiling! Amy and Marielle actually love the tyres!?! We have turned them into monsters already. Jenna had the morning off so Wifey joined the crew to help encourage the girls at the top of the incline, fix technique and gossip with the girls who stopped for a “breather”. I’m so proud of you girls today, you stepped up to the challenge and smashed that session.
Boxing – Thursday 26/1/12

A small group for the Australia Day session, but they showed how committed they were and ripped out a massive session that had the whole group drenched with sweat within the hour. Alot of friendly banter in the group to stir things up, clearly everyone had their cheeky hats on. Gemma went one further with her dress ups tonight and even wore rainbow coloured undies. Jenna and I will be collecting donations to buy Gemma some matching clothes. Happy Australia Day Pioneers, thank you to everyone who attended today’s boot camp and boxing sessions!
Civic Boot Camp Week 3: Thursday 26/1/12 Happy Australia Day

Happy Australia Day!!! We were the only group by the lake, the girls were in a great mood and we hit the dividing hills with loads of strength work. Off to a great start with Lauren stepping in duck poo in her sock the upper body was good to go. Kristy put the girls through a massive leg workout on Tuesday so upper was the focus and although we still had hill sprints for the legs the whole body was getting a massive workout. Thank God we couldn’t smell the Australia Day breakfast otherwise I would have lost half my group. Have a safe Australia day girls and remember the only drink on offer today is Water!!
Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Wednesday 25/1/12

Ensuring that not too many beverages are consumed tomorrow we hammered the girls arms today, so anything they drink tomorrow will be via a very lengthy straw and with second thoughts. Already text messages have been coming through with the ladies complaining of not being able to apply mascara safely for work or pour the milk into breakfast without spilling it. Enjoy your day tomorrow girls, get set for a beauty at Pine Island on Friday!
