Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Week 2: Monday 21/5/12

The Pioneer Training ladies are going to look fabulous before the warm weather hits. Trim, toned and terrific! We ripped the arms, legs and the lungs. Not one penalty and each team worked to their max. You know it’s a pretty good session when the easy station is the skipping set with shuttle sprints. Great job girls!

Sheenas on a roll!

Sheena has put a massive effort into her goal of weight loss training super hard since October. Losing 5 kgs in the last 6 weeks, Sheena has now lost 17kg since October last year. Losing massive calories in Boot Camp and P.T sessions, Sheena has also changed her eating habits ensuring that all that hard work early in the morning isn’t wasted ;) Recording her weekly result on a weight loss goal chart, Sheena is focused for an overseas trip and her brothers wedding early next year. Well done buddy, keep up the great work.

Civic Boot Camp – Tuesday 15/5/12

The girls were straight back into it without missing a step this morning. A week off was not obvious at all as the group picked up straight where we left off. We welcomed new girls Trish and Sabrina who did extremely well to keep up, and Ana, Helga and Erin are back in action after a break. Well done ladies. Study up on your flags, get ready for beep test, and let’s see what special door Lauren comes out of on Thursday…

Boxing – Thursday 10/5/12

The Pioneer boxers threw thowwwwsands of punches today. A number of the group face planted the mat in total fatigue, shoulders were screaming, the abs were burning and apparently they love me so much we only need to have a 45min class. Early mark?? Like hell! Great group tonight guys. You were all awesome!

Abseiling and Rock Climbing – 5/5/12

Another awesome adventure jam packed with laughter, beautiful scenery and a great bunch of Pioneers out of their comfort zones. We hit the ‘white rocks’ for our day of climbing and abseiling, most of the group never trying either. The boys all had a go coming down forwards, whilst us girls ooohed and aaahed. Once we came down we were then challenged to climb back up. Jamming feet in gaps, hands in crevices, the group were just as awesome at playing spiderman. Great day out in the sun guys. Thank you to everyone that came.

The Pioneers started with speed and agility work to kick off the session, Brandon hitting 500 calories in 16minutes. We extended the combos tonight and the group nailed them within the practice time and smashed out the sets. Fantastic session guys, an awesome group to train!

Civic Boot Camp – Thursday 3/5/12

Last outdoor session for the civic girls, so I thought a scenic run would be perfect. Handicap sprint around the beautiful Nerang Pool had the girls chasing each other down and had me squealing in delight/fright. Med ball work in amongst the Floriade Parsley and big discussions on the important current issues. Natalie Cooks legs, Margie and Michelle’s flirting, and the Tough Mudder obstacles.
1 week to rest and recover then we hit the great Indoors. Well done to Chris, Sue and Sian for winning $100 each from the groups votes for best and fairest for the boot camp.

The girls put in an awesome effort today at Boot Camp, with the focus on endurance we hit the trails in Urambi for some rolling hills. Smashing out the 5km run, we wrapped the session up with hill sprints and leg strength. A top effort from the ladies, and a big mention to Nerida, Shelley and Ursula for their awesome runs!
