Boxing tonight was a hoot a great bunch of clients a good laugh and some hard work. We figured out that Kylie is a bit special when it comes to shoulder work. We figured out that Kate is a woo hoo girl and we also figured out that Blaydo and I can’t skip together because I will get smacked in the head with a rope! Pauline found her right hook and Lou felt it too and Peta will have sore arms just from pad holding Lach. Awesome session!

Rich Zaja Killing it in the Australian SuperBikes
Rich has been Personal training for just over a year now and the the improvements are paying off. Rich races in the Australian superbike championships and is leading the pack at number 1. With a very specific weights program and fitness to do on his own, Rich has put in the hard yards to be on top of his game. Getting up to speeds of 300kph and more Rich has to be conditioned in strength and fitness and is happy to tell you that getting off the bike after a race feels great especially when some of the guys he races are half his age and are sweating and exhausted after each race. With the Championships in sight we have a few more races which i am sure Rich will WIN!!!! GO HARD RICH

X-Training Saturday 23-4-11
Our first frosty morning but the sun was so BEAUTIFUL the frost was gone in about 5 minutes. A great group for the Easter weekend and a huge effort by everyone who showed up. The Easter bunny AKA Annie had her ears on and hopped around the Circuit we had planned. Strength and cardio circuit work had heart rates up and calories burning. the group were told if they wanted to eat chocolate this weekend they had to train HARD, and that they did. Have a HAPPY long Easter weekend to everyone. Please be safe.
Boxing Thursday 21-4-11
We welcomed back Lach tonight it was great to have our token male in the session. With upper body on the menu we pushed the groups arms to point of no return and im pretty sure there will some crazy hair today because no one will be able to lift their arms to style it. M-Power Dome is our location till we get some sun back so bring a friend along and come and have one hour of boxing.
Canberra Half Marathon Sunday 10-4-11
It is hard and scary enough getting out of bed for a fun run being 10km or 5km but to get out of bed and run 21km and it be raining so hard that the rain is going sideways is a huge effort on anyone who did it. Well 4 Pioneers took the challenge on Sunday morning to attempt goals they had set months ago. Carla, Joey Kristy and Kim-Maree all rocked up at 6:30am to run the half marathon a first for 3 of them and a few nervous toilet breaks before the big race. Carla driving from Wagga that morning and then running a 1 hour 55min run, not recommended but an awesome awesome time. Joey who has been on a personalised running program who has been training since before Christmas had set an amazing goal of 2 hours 30min. As Kristy Kim- Maree and I stood at the finish line we could see Joey 50m away. As she gave her very best at what could be a sprint after 21km Joey clocked in at 2hours 33mins a HUGE achievement. A huge Happy birthday to Joey as well who couldn’t celebrate due to having to run this event. Kristy setting a goal of under 2 hours and months worth of training but being sick for the past week running a 1 hour 59min, I couldn’t have yelled harder for her to get to the finish line a huge effort by Kristy. Kim-Maree who had run a half marathon before, set out with the girls the only one knowing what was ahead. Kim -Maree pulled a 2 hour 3 minute time which was not her personal best but with a torn glute (bum) a huge effort. Well done to everyone who participated. Now we train for the full Marathon!!!!
Boxing Thursday 17-2-11
The warm up was enough to get the groups heart rates above and beyond their maximums. With a rotation through the different types of Punch’s the group were all asking when the session was going to be over!!! Poor Nicole was partnered with Kristy and is now ready for the Olympic games boxing team and the naughty corner were again in fine form getting yelled at. A great session though guys not so much running next week i promise…..
X-Training Saturday 22-1-11
A super hot morning at the oval today and after last weeks session we had a few sleep in. Body weight work this morning had the group going fro push ups on their toes to push ups on their knees very quickly. Leg work for the group was great until it was time to sprint then the legs went jelly. Overall a huge effort by everyone. A huge congratulations to Kim-maree and Kristy for doing a 10km fun run on Saturday both smashing out their best times ever. Kristy coming an awesome 10th out of the women. Great work guys!!

First session of boxing for 2011 went off!!! New location at Kambah Oval 3 and green grass as far as you could see it was perfect. Remember X-Training 8am Saturday at Kambah Oval and its $10. Bring a friend who has never joined Pioneer and they get it for FREE!
