There will be some sore legs and arms after today’s session. Plyometrics for the legs and some quick sprint work had the girls competitive streaks come out. Big explosive movements and lighting fast sprints, the girls were putting in 110% effort. Kristy raced a few of the girls and they were not far on her heels if not even with her. Sal was chasing Annie and Bri chasing Jen and it was all just a little bit exciting. The suns out and here comes Summer!!
Civic Boot Camp Week 1: Thursday 26-8-10

Who took my quiet Civic girls and sent me the most hyperactive people I have ever met. The girls were crazy today and it may have been the moon who knows but they were super funny! Under cover today due to the rain or was it due to me straightening my hair and not wanting it to go fuzzy again, who knows but the girls were put through a boxing session and loved it. Lauren tried out here new kick boxing move on me and broke my rib and Kristy partnered up with Jean Bean and couldn’t stop laughing. Great session today with girls and with one week down Kristy and I are super excited!

Lachie and Helga are taking part in Oxfam TRAILWALKER Sydney 2010.
Oxfam TRAILWALKER is a great team challenge! It’s also one of the toughest.
The challenge is to complete 100kms of rugged bush trail in less than 48 hours as a team of four.
Teams must start together, stick together and finish together.
It’s not just physically demanding – Oxfam TRAILWALKER is also a fundraising challenge. Teams commit to raising at least $1000 to help some of the world’s poorest people. Their team (TEAM GUMBY) have pledged to raise over $5,000 so every donation will be greatly appreciated to assist them in this aim.

Tuggeranong Boot Camp Week 1: Monday 23-8-10

Week one today of our second last boot camp for the year. This is going to be a hoot and the naughty group are in fine form already. We welcomed Susan, Belinda and Karen to the group and we welcomed back Romina, Stef, Anita and many more. We had a great morning of fitness testing and Kristy and I laid down the ground rules.
We bring back Players of the day this Boot camp and who ever gets the most point for this Boot Camp gets the next Boot Camp for Free. Train hard girls, lets have some fun!!!

Kristy and I had the group freaked out when we had set up on the oval and the courts today. The worst words any group could here coming out of a trainers mouth, “interval training”. It was a huge session with sprints, kick pad work and steps to put the icing on the cake. Great work to the group, there was no complaining and they got the work done.
Mountain Biking 11-9-10

Civic Boot Camp Week 6: Thursday 12-8-10

Well, more records smashed and more calories burnt with the City girls being put through minute mizer today. Al smashed the kicks and Christine smashed the burpees as Kristy and I encouraged the girls to smash their old scores. Great work on a massive 6 weeks girls. You now have 1 week off and then we hit 8 weeks outdoors. See you all at Regatta point!
Boxing Thursday 5-7-10

A huge boxing circuit tonight so if you weren’t there you missed an awesome session. Stair sprints mixed with combos, dumbbell work for the shoulders, kicking with step work we had it all. A huge calorie burning session and the crew had a ball. Great session guys!

We trained to failure today and sprinted to spike the heart rates. The group had a massive session to strengthen the entire body. Sprints are getting quicker and push ups are getting lower. A great day to be out and about training hard and burning calories. A MASSIVE Happy Birthday to our Pioneer Peta. Kristy is sorry about the muffins Peta, let’s just be thankful she didn’t burn the house down!!
City to Surf Training

A few Pioneers ventured out to Pine Island today to train for City to Surf. A 14km rolling hills course will meet the crew in Sydney and Kristy and I have no doubt that this group will leave dust behind them
