It was a case of the girls getting dressed together this morning or they just went shopping together. We finally got to hit mount urambi today and the girls hit it hard. Hard hill sprints and some strength work as an active recovery the girls had an amazing session. Well done ladies fabulous effort. Just remember when you want to walk, how important your goals are to you!

We know who the hardcore Pioneers are, and they showed up in the rain this morning for a massive session at Lake Tuggers. The 21 girls that did show put in over 6km of running, hundreds of upper weight reps and at least 3kg worth of mud on each step. Well done girls, Jenna and I were very proud of your runs this morning ;)

After the girls disappointment with not having a slip and slide at Urambi Hill on Monday they were pumped for todays session. Heads down bums up, the groups worked well together and smashed out a big session. A big congrats to Fiona who made it around the oval without stopping this morning and well done to Marielle and Julie for all their encouragment to her to get her across. A bit of a rest day with the running today…. you know what that means for Friday girls :)

TBC 22 27/1/12
Pioneer Training style fun run this morning…only we do it with tyres, logs, weight vests, med balls above the head and dumbbells. The girls pumped out their biggest session yet this year wrapping around 6km’s of pine island. Nearly 700 calories burnt and still our new girls were smiling! Amy and Marielle actually love the tyres!?! We have turned them into monsters already. Jenna had the morning off so Wifey joined the crew to help encourage the girls at the top of the incline, fix technique and gossip with the girls who stopped for a “breather”. I’m so proud of you girls today, you stepped up to the challenge and smashed that session.

Ensuring that not too many beverages are consumed tomorrow we hammered the girls arms today, so anything they drink tomorrow will be via a very lengthy straw and with second thoughts. Already text messages have been coming through with the ladies complaining of not being able to apply mascara safely for work or pour the milk into breakfast without spilling it. Enjoy your day tomorrow girls, get set for a beauty at Pine Island on Friday!

It was a mission from the start today with Christina and Zoe having a moment because they were told no towels which means we will be doing more running then ground work. Then out came the weight vest and the ropes and they were not pleased. We got kitted up and headed off to the other side of the lake, a nice little warm up for the leg and skipping work that was about to happen. Christina showed the whole of Civic her indented bum and how she cant become a Victorias Secret model, Sian had a moment with Kristy about a vest and Rhian found her abs with a new form of Push up. A good start to the week and YES ladies we are training on Thursday you can sleep after Boot Camp.

Week 3 this week and although Kamah was a little wet the girls were told to deal with it amd train hard. 4 stations and ten minutes on each of them with 400m runs slipped in as well. The girls
put their heads down and worked hard. Amy and Felicity were dobbing on eachother for not running and I was sure Wendy and Miss Mason didn’t leave their picnic rug although they assured me they did! Marielle’s fitness is improving with her running and Kim will turn into Usain bolt at the end of the 8 weeks. Great work today girls a great way to start the week.

Pioneer Training – Rest day. Yep, this is how we rest our girls, ease up on the legs and flog those arms until you can’t lift your drink bottle! Lots of changing of partners, lots of talking and lots of calories. Win, win for everybody. Marielle has found her superwoman speed already, Amy was in ninja mode again and had the agility to match, and Jane has just about nailed everyones names now :)

A ripper of a session this morning with almost all toys out of the box some short sharp runs and a long run as well. Two girls timing the entire group with 2 laps running the park down at Tuggeranong while the rest of the group worked their entire bodies. Mixing it up and partnering up with someone new always works a treat except when Wendy and Annie get together and say PLEEEEEASE Kristy we haven’t in ages! Only one set of penalties were given out with only 10 minutes of the session to go and it was 2 minutes worth of Burpees. Very hard after 40 minutes worth of work. Week two is coming to an end and already Kristy and I have seen big changes in effort and fitness.

Well the girls survived week one and as week 2 begins the sessions are gradually getting tougher. A huge circuit with skipping, bars, balls and a huge run and the girls put in a huge effort to get out as many laps as possible. Marielle putting in a huge last run of the day to finish off a massive workout. Amy busted out so many swear words at once finishing with I hate you Jenna and I finished off with a sweet keep running! Jackie says she is not a runner but i bet that after theses 8 weeks you will be Jack!! Nice effort today girls!
