We stayed well away from the sand today because Pine Island was flowing fast! Much like the girls who totally demolished the session. We had timed runs for some girls, we had other girls stalking other girls down, it was just an amzing effort by the whole group. 50 reps of the upper body and loads of stations to get through on top of all of that i only got evil eyes once! It was so tough to pick player of the day today so we have:
1 point to everyone.

Todays session was Crazy leg work then hill sprints then Upper body work with logs and quick flat runs. The only time the girls go t to recover was when Kristy explained the next set of exercises. No complaining today just head down bums up hard work. The girls did such an amzing job. With only 5 sessions to go you girls are going to rip up and be super fit by Christmas.Player of the day points go to: 3 points Erin, 2 points Christine, 1 point Sue.

Tuggeranong Boot Camp week 6: Monday 28-11-11

A fabulous morning to Mt Taylor and a huge fabulous good morning to the legs of the girls who smashed the mountain today! Just over 3km in running and a huge shoulder workout at the base had the girls sounding like they all had lungs of a 90 year old. It was a tough session for the girls and we knew that just after one hill run from Sheena who burnt 400 calories… Good lordy!
A great effort by Katie at the end who was given one minute to get to the top and fell short by about 7 metres a huge effort. The encouragment from the girls was amazing today.
Player of the day points go to. 3 points Katie, 2 points Kira, 1 point Ursula
X-Training Saturday 26-11-11

The messgaes were coming in early this morning as the rain had not stopped all night. With Jenna having the morning off I put 10 Pioneers through their paces. While it rained the whole session the entire group put in an amzing effort and showing me that no matter if it rains or shines they had golas to get and nothing will stop them.
You’re invited: Helga’s 5Km fun run: Tue 20 Dec -12.15pm
Hi all, (it’s Lach – your friendly neighbourhood geek),
My beloved Helga is turning 50 very soon. So much has changed in our lives since we celebrated Helga’s 40th birthday. One of the most significant changes is our fitness and in particular training with Pioneer Training. Jenna, Kristy and everyone who trains with us have made fitness an important part of our lives. With Pioneer Training’s expert guidance we’ve managed to train and compete in lots of fun runs (who would have thought we’d like running). So it seemed natural to celebrate Helga’s 50th with a lunchtime 5km run around Lake Burley Griffin. We hope you can join us. The details and link to a map are below.
Date: Tue 20 Dec 2011
Time: 12.15 (warm up from 12noon)
Meeting at: bottom carpark, Regatta Point
Link: map of run
If you’d like me to send you an invite via Google or Facebook (I know I would be lost without reminders), send an email to me at podfink@gmail.com

Boxing Thursday 24-11-11
Civic Boot Camp – Thursday 24/11/11
The girls were up for another big session this morning. Agility course, 1km scenic run to find Jenna, skipping and burpee combo, 1km run back to the agility course to smash it all again. The girls thought the run was going to be tough but the agility course was a killer in disguise and wrecked them before they even set off. A huge endurance session, and the girls were stuffed but happy at the end of the hour. Well done ladies, keep up the hard work. Remember Pioneer’s don’t do fluffy.
Player of the day points go to: Chris and Emma tie for 3 points each, Zoe 2, Helga 1.
Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Wednesday 23/11/11

The girls made it quite obvious that they are no longer happy about my return from New York. I was getting attacked with swear words left, right and centre for the hour, but the girls were laughing, squealing and having a ball. Face off with Team A v Team B, mate v mate. Pump the reps out with encouragement from a team mate, but beat the other player across from you to get the point for your team! The girls competitive streaks were up and they threw everything they had in to this session going to complete muscle failure and even curling up in the fetal position groaning. It was so close but Team B came out in front with 97 wins beating Team A’s result of 93 wins. Awesome work from everybody today!!
Player of the day points go to: Ursula 3, Nicole 2, Jane 1.
Civic Boot Camp – Week 5: Tuesday 22/11/11

Pioneer Training ute full of goodies + 400m sprints = near vomits, massive calories, and a very happy Kristy! The girls were up for a huge one this morning, and with their goal for the session set, it was on like donkey kong. Timed sprints and 12 hell stations to get through and the girls were starting to look a little green. A massive effort from the group though, two girls managed to just finish the session and the rest of the girls weren’t too far behind. Tremendous to see you all again ladies!
Player of the day points today go to: Emma 3, Toni 2, and Erin 1.
