The girls had a bit of Monday-itis today and it took them till half way though to get their groove on. With logs bars and plenty of other bits of equiptment at the base the girls had no rest time the entire hour. Good work today girls keep up the hard work.

Tuggeranong Boot Camp Week 5: Monday 19-9-11
X-Training Saturday 17-9-11

A huge group today which was a good thing because we had a HUGE circuit set up. On the 400m track every 20m we had a station set up. We pulled all toys out of the toy box and and showed the group what to do. We sent them on their way for the hour and it was all hard work from there. The logs were up, the tyres were pulled and the group were super excited every 10 minutes when we pulled them all in for ab work. That didnt last long before we sent them back out onto the circuit. Great work off everybody and well done to Dennis who completed his first X-Training session.

Tuggeranong Boot camp week 4: Friday 16-9-11

What a great way to finish off another huge week of boot camp. We hit the stairs at the lake today and with some plyometric work on the stairs they had a 830m quick run around to the other side. Then there was Kristy waiting with skipping ropes and more stair work. A huge session from everyone with quick feet and hard work.

Boxing – Thursday 15/9/11

A massive session tonight with a couple of the girls hitting over 800 calories and another couple getting to vomit point. God help us if Lach had his heart rate monitor on, my guess is about 1200 calories with the way he took on that session! A great group and it was awesome to have them working their way through the group meeting everybody.
Civic Boot Camp – Thursday 15/9/11

The girls hit the stairs at the lake for a glorious hour in the sun! Christina started the group off in fits of laughter, and Janja refused to partner her. Emilia got some speed up chasing the girls, and Liz showed Usain Bolt how to Incline sprint! Toni and Ana were heads down bum up the whole session and got the points for their efforts. Player of the day goes to: Toni 3, Ana 2 and Sloane 1.
Tuggeranong Boot Camp Week 4: Wednesday 14-9-11

The tyres were out the cones were out and half way through the session the sun came out. An amazing effort today off all the girls with only a few sighs at the start when they saw the tryes but 10 minutes in they had no choice but to drag them. Relay races at the end of a huge hour had smiles on the girls faces and their competitiveness at an all time high. Great work today guys. In case anyone needs amazing healing of their body Joey and I are O Negative blood types and have amazing powers. Dont hate us for being in the 7% of special people!

Blaydo finishes 29km Race!

Last Saturday Blaydo (Denise), took on a gruelling 29km run through the Royal National Park. Jenna and I are super proud of her and asked her to share her experience with you.
“I was both excited and nervous when I entered the Coastal Classic race. I was looking forward to the challenge – and what a challenge it turned out to be! A crazy mix of terrain – rainforest, eroded trails, beaches, rocks, four hills (with the down hills twisting track full of trip hazards) and to finish off, 4kms of soft sand! The race was much harder than I could ever have imagined but I was ecstatic to finish in 3 hours 57min (just under my goal of 4 hours and under the average finishing time). I have to say the race was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done both physically and mentally, taking a huge amount of energy to remain positive and focused till the end. My training has paid off as I finished feeling strong and recovered quickly – huge thanks to Kristy for all her support over the last 4 years. I know I would not be where I am now without that consistent encouragement and push to step up to the next challenge, which is now a 42km marathon!! Bring it on!”

Tuggeranong Boot Camp week 4: Monday 12-9-11

What a way to start a Monday at Urambi Hill. A huge session flled with boxing weights and a few yellow cones that scare people. 15 minutes on each station heart rates up around the 190BPM and a no vomit which was a plus. Kristy yelling at the top and me at the bottom the girls had no chance to rest. A great start to the week girls well done.

Canberra Times Fun Run 11-9-11

A smashing morning to get out and run 5km or 10km. Some say Fun Run I say not so fun run but for sure up for the challenge! A first for a few girls in the 5km today with Zoe running the whole 5km without stopping. Elise, Kristin and Kizza also in the 5km carving it up looking like skittles in their Pioneer shirts. Laura giving it her all and smashing the last 50m to the finish line and had Kristy and I screeming for her at the finish. The 10km group were good to go at 8:45 as we headed over for a warm up. Of course me (Jenna) needing the toilet as always missed the start with Kim and had to chase the pack down. Carla and Kristy leading all Pioneers doing some crazy times that I wont even put up on the website due to the fact that no one could catch them. Liz, Ursula and Helga put in an amazing effort and Kylie took 3 minutes off her last 10km run. Everyone did SUPER well in the run Kristy and I would like to congratulate everyone who entered the run. Next up Gold coast Half Marathon 2012 whos in and who is coming to just watch with me!!
