The civic girls got their butts kicked today just like Tuggies did on Monday. The girls were told to run faster and Kristy and I were drilling the girls on technique. After a good hard hour of yelling and Karen noodling in the corner the group finally got it together. With Winter only a day away although it feels like it started in February the girls will get drilled until we head outside. There will be no CM GAINS over Winter with the program that we have in stall for the group.
Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Week 3: Monday 30/5/11
The girls took a good 15min to get cracking this morning, apparently they are allowed to be slow on a Monday. How do you think Jenna and I took that response?? We a few cranky words of encouragement, the girls kicked up a gear and we were off. A tough session for the girls, with all raising their hands in saying so, but you girls were on fire last week and have showed us what you are capable of so now you have to back it up. No excuses over winter, and if you are giving a reason why or how you aren’t doing it 100% then it is nothing but an excuse. You still have goals to achieve girls and Jenna and I are going to ride you until you get them.
X-Training – Saturday 28/5/11
Pioneer Training hard core in the frost! Well, we would be hardcore if we all didn’t have our warm little mittens on. The group smashed out a massive session even though Jenna’s description of how to do an airbike ended up a bit ‘R’ rated. Louise showed the group how quick she can run, Kel wanted a bit of verbal seduction before she did her exercises, and wow, team Wynda….. distracted my side of the group, but it’s okay girls… we have all the personality
Kristy’s PT Client of the Week
Personal training client of the week this week goes to the super hard working Steve. Week in, week out Steve gives 100% and even on the days he has his own program to do, he still gets up in the dark and heads out into the frost to clock the km’s. Losing another 1.4kg this week, Steve is 20kg lighter and over 100cm smaller in girth measurements since when he first started personal training. Suffering from a nasty waterskiing accident last year, Steve was limited in his training but kept his morale high and knuckled down with the exercises we could do. Rebuilding the strength and flexibility back into his leg, we are back at full pelt and quicker and stronger than ever before. Well done Steve-o. you are a champion to train!
Boxing Thursday 26-5-11
Boxing was on like Donkey Kong from the get go tonight. The group had no time to do anything besides breathe and concentrate on technique and the group put in an amazing effort. Quick sprints with skipping had some comments coming out of the groups mouths. You are a B%*#% Jenna my comment back “i don’t care” and another, ” what were you thinking when you planned the session”. Well i was thinking how to get maximum effort out of everyone. Job done!! Well done guys.
Civic Boot Camp – Thursday 26/5/11
First aid kit ready to go, I let the civic girls warm up with basketball this morning. And look out, nobody tackled anybody! Zoe showed some awesome skills, whilst Karen and Joey both like to dribble but leave the ball behind as they get too excited. Christina held up well through out the game considering her shocking paper cut injury, but she was strong for her team and put in a valiant effort. The girls had kickboxing for today and put in a super effort. Some awesome agility work from Liz and Toni put some of the younger girls to shame. Well done today girls, keep active over the weekend, eat healthy and wake up with a smile (joey).
Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Wednesday 25/5/11
The Tuggies girls have been on fire this week! Smashing out another huge session, the girls knuckled down but still had plenty of laughs. Julie nearly got away with hiding in the stairwell for some of the session, but we all know she wouldn’t be able to keep quiet for long enough
Kimbo started the spores story, and I only needed a tiny bit of encouragement and we were off with the typical tuggies conversations. At least if the girls break to laugh, they are still burning the calories. And remember if when you speak, if it’s funny, you don’t get in trouble! The girls are getting quicker and quicker, the civic girls are definately going to have to step up to keep up with this group now, even nana is pumping out the burpees in class. Megan and Ang took out the late moo-moo award this week, who is going to wear it next week???
Civic Boot Camp week 2: Tuesday 24-5-11
The Civic girls took a bit of waking up today but once we started our first set of sprints they put their heads down and bums up. Smashing out huge reps of step work and upper body the group were sucking back the air when they could. With only one break in the entire session to get some fresh air the girls got some massive heart rates and huge calories to top it off.
Tuggeranong Boot camp Week 2: Monday 23-5-11
The girls put in one huge effort with today’s session. although my counting was off, what a surprise the girls were 100% focused. With a mixture of resistance work for the whole body then quick interval sprints the girls got a quick minute to step outside and get some fresh air. With goals still in sight for most of the girls Winter will be a breeze to get through with how hard the group trained. Well done guys.
X-Training Saturday 21-5-11
You had to have a grey Pioneer Hoody to hang out with these cool cats at x-training on Saturday not that the rest of the group paid any attention as they were quickly named the naughty group. A big circuit super setting muscle group to achieve maximum HURT for Sunday. To add in some high heart rates a quick 200m dash which had the competitiveness come out in everyone even Kimbo chased Mum aka Julie down with a slap on the bum once she was caught. Katie screamed her way around the 200m circle, how scary it is when some one chases you!!!
Good Luck to everyone doing the fun run this afternoon!! we want Personal Bests!!!
