The girls absolutely SMASHED today’s session.  An adventure run around the back of Kambah, very hilly and an amazing view at the peaks of the run.  We hit the gate at the end very quickly then the girls had to run back to Kristy for Hill sprints.  Some quick feet up that hill had the competitiveness come out of all the girls.  After the hills we had a very quick run home with Annika, Peta, Kel and Jamoat the front of the pack and the rest of the girls not to far behind. A huge 6.6km ran in total with Annie burning over 500 calories and Kimbo hitting 800.  Kristy and I have successfully this week burnt off the entire Easter weekend in 3 sessions.  An amazing effort girls Kristy and I are super, super proud of all of you.

Player of the day goes to: 3 points Annie, 2 points Annika, 1 point Katie.

My client of the week this week goes to Steph as she hit the 10kg loss mark! A massive effort in only 15 weeks and of course a few swear words in training. The celebration was short lived as we set our next goal of another 10kg in the next 20 weeks so we headed down to Pine Island for a HUGE session to kick off our next focus. Steph is now enjoying my smiling face 3 times a week for pt now and the hard work is paying off.

With Fitness testing around the corner the girls were put through interval sprints and abdominal work today.  After Mondays Killer session we had a few sore calf muscles but the running soon had the calves warmed up.  Two  girls getting an early morning surprise stepping in dog poop, Kristy naming them the poo twins. The smell had the rest of the group far away from them doing abdominal work.  A great week so far and Mt Urambi on Friday we are in for another big session.

Lake Burley Griffin was eerily quiet this morning but our girls were out in force and on a mission. The  mission was to burn off the one mini easter egg they all had. We had the weight vests, resistor belts and the hill to help. Backwards, sideways, frontways, up, down and jump. Every direction I could train the girls I did, and they answered the challenge. No muttering, no whining, it was on like Donkey Kong and the girls were awesome! Zoe hit 750 calories and it wasn’t even supposed to be a big cardio session, the girls just carved it up.

Player of the day points go to: Christina 3, Karen 2, Liz 1.

Pioneer Training lit up Erindale stairs this morning with all the bright coloured shirts and dazzling smiles. The girls were treated to a sleep in and we kicked off at 9am for a HUUUUGE session of stair work. Jelly legs hit quick and the girls were all holding each other for support. Good luck moving around tomorrow girls, even though we burnt a million calories, those calves and quads will be burning for a week :)

Kristy's pt April 2011

It’s measurement week this week for most of the clients and Bri pulled a whopping 17.5cm’s and 3kg. Huge month for Bri, and some awesome improvements in her leg strength and agility. Leading a very busy life attending group fitness and personal training sessions, hockey training and 2  games per weekend, it is a credit to Bri for keeping up her motivation. Well done Bri, lets see if you can pull it again next month?!?!

Our first frosty morning but the sun was so BEAUTIFUL the frost was gone in about 5 minutes.  A great group for the Easter weekend and a huge effort by everyone who showed up.  The Easter bunny AKA Annie had her ears on and hopped around the Circuit we had planned.  Strength and cardio circuit work had heart rates up and calories burning.  the group were told if they wanted to eat chocolate this weekend they had to train HARD, and that they did.  Have a HAPPY long Easter weekend to everyone. Please be safe.

A freezing morning on the hill today and the girls put in such an amazing effort.  Kim and Katie ignoring my yells to run but after putting in such an amazing effort for the rest of the session all was forgiven.  Liz proved she has some awesome fast twitch muscle fibres smashing it up the hill to Kristy.  Only two sets of penalties given to Nicole and Kelly for thinking they can walk the last 10m.  With only two weeks left to go the girls have come along way.
