Civic Boot Camp – Thursday 31-3-11

Kristy had her fun sorted out early and pretty sure some poor kid is missing his bike.  A mini motor bike had Kristy’s ankles at her ears as she hooned down Regatta hill on the bike.  That thing picks up some speed when a ?? year old is on it!!   Lauren and Toni again getting dressed together wearing the same outfit had the group asking questions.  The answer, great taste in gym gear. The girls after being amused by Kristy who could now join the Circus had a huge leg session on Regatta hill.  Plenty of kicks and plenty of lunges and Running man had the girls legs screaming.  No rest as we pumped through exercise after exercise.  If their legs could vomit, they would have but still pushed on.  Another great week by the entire group.

The girls were put through some ridiculous arm work today when we pulled out the bars and the dumbbells for the hour.  The girls pushed the quick sprints and heaved the heavy weights above and beyond.  With one more session this week to get through I’m sure the girls are praying that there is not upper body on Friday.  A fabulous shot of Jess and Nicole pumping out a full range front raise.

The City girls were a bit luckier this morning with a little bit warmer weather down by the lake.  High intensity interval training this morning and the girls were not quite switched on until the warning came out of big diamond imprints on their bums.  Sprints and skipping and of course Kathy asking what time it was had the girls heart rated through the roof.  A great way to kick off week 3.

Player of the day points go to: 3 points Ann-Maree, 2 points Toni 1 point Christina

Who needs Autumn when you can go straight to Winter.  The temperature in single figures this morning as the girls rocked up to Kambah for a session the dark.  Onto the courts to get started off with some hard core interval training.  Sprints burpees and skipping had the group sweating up a storm in the first 20 minutes.  Then as the Sun decided to grace us with it’s presence we hit the oval for sprints and pancakes.  A wicked combination to make anyone want to Vomit.  The girls had a killer session and put 110% in.

11Pioneers took the long raod to Penrith to embark on what was the funniest White Water Rafting trip yet!   Kristy decided to stay out of the rafts and take photos (best idea) and the rest of us well lets just say we all had a great time and got very wet!  Nikki, Ash, Sara, Nick, Carla, Elisha  and I in one raft and Sian, Christina, Sarah and Caitlin and a bunch of random men in another.  We were first round the course and poor Nick had a bunch of screaming girls to deal with.  While most of us had no idea which way to paddle we were keeping ourselves busy trying not to wee our pants from all the laughing.  Kristy getting a birds eye view of both of the rafts was in hysterics just looking at us.  Our raft was the first to surf the rapids While 2 of the girls had already come out of the boat, surfing was the last straw to have everyone out in the rapids, except the instructors.  Once we had finished surfing we did another lap of the course to see that Sian, Christina, Sarah and Caitlin were in the rapids surfing.  A few girls were minus in the raft having fallen out and washed down stream a bit. Nothing but huge smiles from the girls as we paddled past.  Don’t worry we all made it out alive and well.  The entire group had an amazing trip and I’m sure will be keen to go again next year.  Thanks for coming up with Kristy and I, it was a great day

X-Training Saturday 26-3-11

After some quick demonstrations and instructions for the session we were off and lets just talk about how awesome our clients bums and legs will be.  Poor Laura will be beside herself on Sunday as she had to partner me which meant double the leg work.  With the Tunes pumping in the background our new location at Mackillop in Wanniassa was perfect to smash the group.  No one was sent to the pole today and no one was given penalties so overall a very good session.

X-Training WILL be on this coming weekend of the 2nd of April.

My client of the week goes to Helga this week and anyone that has seen her efforts since Monday would absolutely agree. Helga has clocked a massive 7 sessions with Pioneer this week and also managed to fit in her own run of 9km as per her program. This woman is unstoppable and since recovering her ankle from a nasty gardening accident Helgas speed is back with a vengence and her determination and focus now will take her beyond the fittest she has ever been. Helga has dropped a whopping 20kg since being with Pioneer. Not only does she look like a different woman, but her lifestyle is different now too. Helga swaps her wine time for a 9km run. Now thats what I call a swapper! Well done Helga, keep up the good work.

It was a lucky dip down at Pine island today and the girls ran just over 5km in the hour.  A mixture of different exercises in 2 little bags and you pick the exercise, run meet the person with the matching exercise and come back to base and do the exercise.  A few little mix ups at the start but the girls got the hang of it quickly.  A massive session and some friendly competition the girls finished week two off on a massive high.  A huge Happy birthday to Annie and Margie this week.

boxing 25/3/11

Boxing tonight was a little fresh but once we started the running we all warmed up very quickly.  With the naughty group in hand Kristy got everyone into line very quickly and out of breathe quickly.  This week was our last week at Kambah and we used the entire court area to our advantage.  Loads of running, lunges and quick pad work and a few new moves that were done with ease.  The group were scared to do any wrong just in case Kristy took her hat off again and we had to see her hat hair.

See you all next week at M-Power Dome in Fadden at 6:30pm!

The girls have successfully finished week 2 and after today’s session they will never risk the chance of getting a penalty again.  Kristy walked the girls down to location and by that stage the girls were singing and having a great time.  After explaining and demonstrating the session the girls legs were in for a huge workout.  No walking today as the penalties were given out left right and centre for girls walking and finishing early.  Huge calories burned and the girls put in a huge effort for the entire hour.  A huge well done to all of you.

Player of the day goes to 3 points Janja 2 points Ann-Maree 1 point Bec
