After Jenna put the fear of God into the girls on Tuesday for what I had planned today, there were some super nervous faces at 5:50am. After a quick pep talk, firm instructions, and a couple of nervous wees, the girls were into it. 60min of hard boxing, cardio work and it was up to the girls on the run how long their group had to do it for! Everyone put a MASSIVE effort in, I’m so proud of you girls, you really stepped up. What they thought was super scary turned into a hard fun session because they put themselves into it mentally and physically. Well done girls, you all get a point today for player of the day!

Tuggeranong Boot Camp week 7: Wednesday 8-12-10
Out typical Wednesday session with crazy conversation and Margie giving it to the young girls to step up! Venetia got in on the action telling Rhi to step up to. There will be some sore upper bodies tomorrow after Kristy set up a wicked upper body session. Push ups after a while looked a little like….. well I’m not actually sure what they looked like but come fitness testing on Monday they should blow them out of the water. Some unreal work by the group today by the group. Well done.

Civic Boot Camp Week 7: Tuesday 7-12-10
The week is already planned for the girls and with knowing what was to come on Thursday a huge strength and technique session was on the cards. With so many other groups by the lake now we hid around the back of Regatta point not to close to Stage 88 but close enough to the cars to make a quick get away if someone jumped out of the bush!! The girls followed instruction and pumped out a huge upper body workout. Bars, dumbbells and med balls the girls had mini circuits to get through for the hour and did so with great technique. Come mentally ready for Thursday girls and unless your on your death bed there will be NO messages saying how sick you are!
Player of the day goes to: 3 points Hilary, 2 points Michelle 1 point Jean
Tuggeranong Boot Camp Week 7: Monday 6-12-10
Still soggy on the grass today but that didn’t stop the girls pumping out another 4km session worth of sprints and 400m runs. Joey was at boot camp before the trainers today at a whopping 5:40am to get her new garmin watch set up. Unfortunatly Idon’t have a licence to drive that thing yet and Kristy still has hers sitting on her desk not allowed to touch it till Christmas. Thank god for Peta!! Splitting the girls up into 5 groups the session was explained and so were the penalties. Some testing how far they could push me before the penalties were given which wasn’t until the 45minute mark of the session when fatigue had set in and I wanted the group to dig deep. only 5 sessions to go and Fitness testing on Monday, we are on the home straight girls YEEHA!
Player of the day points go to: 3 points Margie, 2 points Venetia 1 point Peta
X-Training Saturday 4-12-10
A very hot and humid session this morning but the girls put in what they could. After such a huge running session last week I added in some strength work today and some sprints to spike the heart rate. Peta and Kim had Picnic at Mackillop today and Kel was super excited that i hadn’t yelled at her the whole session. Swamz make sure you check Kels heart rate from now on, she may lie to you about what it gets up to. Great work guys. One more left for the year!!!
Tuggeranong “Swimming lessons/Boot Camp” Week 6: Friday 3-12-10
The girls rocked up at Kambah Oval/Pool this morning for an interesting session. After changing location from Mt Taylor to Kambah we decided that step work on the Courts near the oval would be safer than riding the steps down the rapids at the mountain. The group that rocked up put a huge effort in and although shoes and socks got wet before the session even started we pumped out over 4km worth of running on top of medicine ball work, steps, skipping and the wicked bad bags. To the girls that didn’t rock up and had their phones off, bring on Monday!!
Player of the day points go to: 3 points Annika, 2 points Ann, 1 point Linda J
Civic Boot Camp Week 6: Thursday 2-12-10
We finished week 6 today with plyometrics and hill sprints and the girls loved it… NOT! I lived up to my new nick name Jenna Milat by pumping the girls super hard. With Kristy at the top of the hill and me at the base the group never had a chance to stop and take a breath. Just when they thought it was all over 400m sprints. Chris smashed the first one with Claire hot on her heels and the rest of the group super close behind Claire. With a few minutes recovery time the group had one more to go, not so happy about those words but with only two more sessions till fitness testing we have no choice but to work your booties off.
Player of the day points go to: 3 points Claire, 2points Christina, 1 point Helga

Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Wednesday 1/12/10
The girls got to play in the rain today as Canberra enjoyed it’s first day of Summer. The girls were still all smiles with their drenched hair as it was chatterbox Wednesday and the conversations are always too cheeky to mention on the website. What is said at Boot Camp stays at Boot Camp
Apart from the talking which was mainly from Jenna and I, the girls put in a huge effort with the punches and upper work, and were super quick with the glove changes finally.
Player of the day points go to: Joyce 3, Ann 2 and Linda 1.
