We trained to failure today and sprinted to spike the heart rates.  The group had a massive session to strengthen the entire body.  Sprints are getting quicker and push ups are getting lower.  A great day to be out and about training hard and burning calories.  A MASSIVE Happy Birthday to our Pioneer Peta.  Kristy is sorry about the muffins Peta, let’s just be thankful she didn’t burn the house down!!

The Boxing crew were in for a huge session last night and after the hour it sure felt like they had just done 2 hours.  With some crazy combination work with quick sprints heart rates spiked and calories were burned.  Blaydo burnt over a whopping 500 calories which is huge!  Great work to everyone.

We finished off week 4 with some solid boxing and abdominal work.  The girls were in fine form with their combinations and Kath was in “finer” form with hers!!  Bodies were shaking in plank position and sprints became jogs as the session progressed.  Great 4 weeks so far girls, keep it up.

Get you names down quick for next outdoor Boot Camp as we a filling up very fast.

There were some heavy arms after boxing today after an exhausting upper workout for the girls. The stair runs and ab work were thrown in as the rest breaks as pad holding started at eye level and worked it’s way down to about knee level. Jenna and I welcome Colleen to Boot Camp this week, she is now an official Pioneer! Fiona and Linda showed how much they have improved on the stairs, and Kylie and Bri were on fire with their punches today!

Places are already filling fast for the outdoor boot camp girls, so get your forms in quick to cement your spot.

Civic Boot Camp 27/7/10

The girls put in a tremendous effort today and were super focused on the task at hand. Circuit, sprints and masterchef conversations to get the heart rates going. Kath dropped in just for a quick game of basketball, lucky her team won! Lauren got heaps of work done today without Bron there, even though she attempted to get me to foam ski with her??? And what was with our Bobbsy twins, Joey and Annika? Dressed EXACTLY the same this morning. Thank heavens they had different numbers on their back, I may have gotten them mixed up. Get back to work Jenna, we need the stereo :)

peta before and after         peta before and after

A super start to week 4 of Boot Camp with some viscious circuits set up to get the girls squealing in pain. Still smiling though, so clearly a good pain. And if the above pictures aren’t proof enough that all the pain is worth it then I don’t know what is? These first photo is of Peta in late september last year and the second photo is after boot camp this morning. 100cm’s gone and 20kg never to return again!    The cm’s continue to fall off the girls, definition is enough to get me riculously excited, and the improvements in other aspects such as social sports, family activities and work life have improved immensely. All that and we manage to have a laugh whilst we are doing it. Top effort ladies!

18 Pioneer troopers got up before the crack of dawn on Saturday to venture on the best adventure EVER!!  Lach, Helga, Karen and Daniel jumped on the bus in the City.  As the bus headed down to Calwell to pick up, Kristy, Kim-Maree, TJ, Hannah, Donna, Terri, Ann, Peta, Gem, John, Belinda and Kimbo.  Off we went to the sunny PERISHER Blue to carve, or not so carve it up down the slopes.  The weather was perfect and the slopes were breath taking.  After a quick run through of the day we all went off on our merry little way.

Kristy teaching her girls and Kim-maree how to board while Nick Kim and I hit the chair lift for our first run down the slopes.  It was amazing!! After a few runs down I stacked it hard and I hear this “HELLO” behind me and there was Peta looking like she had been some sort of Olympic Ski Champion in a past life.  Off she went down the slopes with ease.  Meeting up with Lachie and Helga a bit later they had been off frolicking the slopes and having a fabulous time.  Belinda and Ann went up the lift and it took them a good hour to get back down, then they decided to get some lessons.  Daniel and Karen decided to do that first thing in the morning, good idea guys!  John and Nick were clearly the best of the day on their boards heading up to do some of the harder runs on the slopes.  Donna and Terri were off and would pop in every now and then to have a rest.

At 3:30 we all met up to have a bit of a laugh, talk of the bad crashes we had and talk of the amazing time we all had.  Then we got back on the bus to top off what was another amazing adventure with Pioneer Training.

Thank you to everyone for coming and enjoying the slopes with us we enjoyed your company.
