Boxing was fast paced tonight but not as fast as our V8 adventure!!  The group had a mixed up session with legs and arms tonight. Sprints were added in to up their heat rates and believe me they were pumping.  Jake put in the hard sprints to make sure the entire group didn’t get penalties and poor Peta and Christine were put next to Blaydo and Bec to make sure they didn’t slack off.  Great work by everyone tonight.  Don’t forget X-Training on Saturday at 8:00am at Mackillop Isabella campus

V8 Supercar Adventure – Thursday 20/5/10

WHAT AN ADVENTURE this one was!!!!!!!!! This will definately go down as one of our greatest! An awesome day out at Wakefield Park for our Pioneers as we released our inner hoon and squealed around the course at what we considered breakneck speed. Everyone was so excited and as we geared up in our racing suit the nerves started to kick in and I know by the time I finally got into the driver seat my heart rate was so high I thought I was going to vomit all over the poor guy that was strapping me in. Steve led the Pioneers out on to the track and after a few stalls and trying to find that sweet spot with the clutch, the first group were off! With Guy and Rad hot on his trails it was awesome to watch the boys giving it to the cars. Next up Jenna, Karen and Nic. After the instructors padded jennas seat up with cushions she was off followed closely by Karen. The girls had an awesome start and poor nic had problems with his gears. Next up Peta and I in drivers seats. As we hurtled around the track, coached by our drivers Michelle had her passenger hot lap at the same time and as my instructor asked me to make way for the black car coming flying up around me, I thought it was Peta overtaking me and hammered the accelerator down only to see Michelles grinning face screaming with delight as her driver zipped past me. Apparently she was still screaming when she pulled back into the pits! Wendy then took off for her hot laps with no fear and we all watched in awe at how quick the track is really meant to be driven!

Jenna and I would like to thank the group for an awesome day and a huge thank you to Robyn at Wakefield Park for making it possible for us. Thanks to all the boys in the pits that drove and coached on the day. We are pretty sure they had just as good a day as we did, and just as many laughs!

Due to the popularity of this adventure we would like to organise another one, please let Jenna or I know if you would be interested so we can try and organise some dates.

Another warm and cozy session indoors turned into a big hard sweat session today as the girls hit their upper body hard.  Some short sharp sprint work and a lot of endurance on the arms.  Venetia getting some serious height in her abdominal work and Michelle, Michelle, Michelle you do make me laugh!  Kim running so super fast she made herself dizzy and Peta got a stern talking to by Kristy to run harder.   Week one down and 5 to go GIDDY UP!

It was awesome to see the girls all bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning and even better to walk into a heated gym from the -20 degree conditions outside!! The girls legs were screaming after a week off and they are probably going to need some assistance getting off the toilet tomorrow. Mara and Anneika put in super efforts for their first ever boot camp session, and poor Amy admitted that going to the gym is definately not the same as doing a session with Jenna and I. No fluffing around here girls, its on like donkey kong! You girls are going to be the hottest in canberra this Spring!

Back into it and thank the heavens we are indoors! A HUGE  session to wake the girls back up again. We hit nearly 700 calories, and almost a vomit. Julie and Terri put in huge efforts for their virgin boot camps sessions and still managed to smile at the end. Jenna got those legs running today and I have nominated her to do all the sessions with you girls to get her running speed up. This is a great group of girls, and Jenna and I are pumped for the next 6 weeks!

An awesome session tonight and some very sore shoulders over the next few days I’m sure.  We kicked into gear with some line of fire and sprint work letting the group get to meet some new people.  Not that anyone could breathe to actually say hi!   We had some very interesting burpees and a few hyperactive girls in the group.  Awesome work as the group has now settled into the indoors.

Lean Machine!

Kristys PT May 2010

Peta started personal training in January of this year and has transformed her body into a sculpted lean fighting machine! With a strong isolating weights program, we have defined and cut up Peta’s upper body beautifully. The definition through her back, shoulders and triceps is amazing, and after losing a whopping 15kg, it’s an awesome feeling for her to have people commenting on how trim and toned she is looking and how awesome her muscles are! With her body responding to all training principles we have put into her programming, the possiblilities are endless!  Well done Peta, you look absolutely amazing and I am super proud of our results.
