It was SO cold this morning but god love the troopers who showed up to train. Rain will not stop some people from enjoying one hour with Kristy and myself. We went a little easier on the group this morning with boxing and combo work. Still a massive imput by the group and we welcomed back Az to the session.
Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Week 3: Monday 31/5/10
After a rainy weekend the girls were tough to kickstart this morning. Margie demonstrated her new rules in soccer of plucking the ball out of the air with her hands. Pity her hands weren’t that quick when she had the boxing gloves on! Bri and Kiz put an awesome effort in, and we only heard squealing when it was time for the ab work. A big session this morning, but you girls need to step it up a bit, you were a bit princessy this morning, and you know that makes Jenna and I cranky!
Canada Fun Run – 20th June
Pioneer will be running in this years Canada Fun Run to be held on Sunday 20th June. The course is 5km or 10km along the south side of Lake Burley Griffin, to Weston Park and return. Registration opens at 8:30am and the race starts at 10am. Pioneers will be meeting at the registration area by 9:30am. You can register on the day or on the website www.actcancer.org . Race fee is $20 or $50 for family. Pancakes, fresh fruit and coffee and tea are available after the race.

Boxing Thursday 27-5-10
After big run through on technique the group were hitting the pads like pros! Elbows, blocks and a few combos had the group using their heads s well. Lach is one person i would not like to cross in a dark street and Christine and Peta had some fluffy moments. A great session by the whole group and we welcomed back Donna.
Civic Boot Camp Week 2: Thursday 27-5-10
We kicked off with a game of Basketball with the city girls today and with the same rules as TuggiesNO TACKLING. Well it wasn’t long before Torrie was in there dropping the shoulder and Lauren threw me to the mats with a huge tackle. Kristy seems to think we are playing a game with sticks next week, just quietly Swamz there is no way on this earth i am giving sticks to any of the Civic girls. After a fabulous and funny warm up we kicked into upper body and ab work. One group got out over 200 sit ups in 6 minutes and arms at the end of the session felt like they were painted on. A great week 2 by the group and plenty more fun to come, oh and training!
Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Wednesday 26/5/10
The girls meant business today. Kiz started the session with her weigh in and lost 2kg in one week, Linda joined us for her first ever session with Pioneer Training and burnt a whopping 1137 calories!!! Venetia seemed content in running with the basketball up her shirt in the warm up game, Michelle showed us that 2010 was the year for her and ball sports, and god love Fiona and liz, they yelled at each other the entire session like a married couple! Jenna and I spent most of the basketball game actually on the floor in hysterics, as the Tuggies group return to old, and the competitive streak in everyone came out. Even Jenna cheated with her stupid 3 pointer after the buzzer. So apart from all the laughing and mucking around, it was a huge session of dumbbells, abs, running and skipping. The civic girls will have to step it up tomorrow to keep up with this awesome Tuggies group!
Indoor Civic Boot Camp Week 2: Tuesday 25-5-10
Some fancy foot work and some crazy music on Swamzys iPod today had the Civic girls working up a sweat. The City girls pumped through a huge leg session with some quick sprints this morning and Kristy showed the group the moves on how to STOP, DROP and ROLL! With 4 weeks to go and Kristy and I pumped for some huge sessions you girls are in for a massive few weeks.
Erin rocking it at PT!
Erin picked up Personal training this March and has put in a huge effort losing 17.5cms in 2 months! Concentrating on high intense cardio and full upper weights, Erin has improved dramatically in her fitness and has tripled in strength in her shoulders. With long distance running next on the agenda, Erin is pumped to try her hand at some of the upcoming fun runs. Keep up the awesome work Erin, you are an absolute pleasure to train, even if you have just gotten out of bed….
X-Training Saturday 22-5-10
Saturday morning weather could not be any better at the moment, just hot enough for a massive circuit with interval sprints. The group was begging for drink breaks at today’s session as we added on from last week’s circuit some running and sprinting. The hour went quick for the group who got through 3 rounds of circuit work. Wendy and Annie got the entire group a penalty of 50 push ups and sprints for talking and not training. I think it is no longer the naughty group but the naughty pair!
Indoor Tuggeranong Boot Camp Week 2: Monday 24-5-10
The Tuggies girls will not be smiling like that tomorrow when they get out of bed, or should we say roll out of bed. A HUGE leg session had the girls walking with a bit of a twitch this morning after a solid hour on the steps. We welcomed Fiona to the group and Sheena back to the group and both were probably wishing they had stayed in bed. Great work by the group today and look out for Wednesday as we hit upper body and abdominals!
