Back to Urambi for our 5km time trial. 3 weeks ago the girls were put through a 5km rolling hills time trial. Today was time to retest and good lord what an amazing effort put in by everyone. With Kim-Maree smashing it up the front Torrie and Kellie were not far on her heals. 1 minute off 40 seconds off, the girl’s results showed their hard work so far. Swamz and I are super proud of you guys.
Civic Boot Camp Week 2: Thursday 18-2-10
A massive session to top off a massive week for the Civic girls. Weight vests and 4 kms worth of running with hill sprints sprinkled on top. The girls showing massive improvements in their fitness and the results are showing it, yes Kathy we can see it. With some leg work to top it off the sprints became even quicker as Swamz pointed out the mamoth dog eating spiders in the lights lining the lake. Great work girls, bring on fitness testing you girls are going to smash it.
Boxing Thursday 18-2-10
A mammoth session for the group tonight after abs last week. We welcomed a few new girls to the group and let me just say how awesome you all did. Skipping and running man with a few combos to give it a bit of kick. Only a few more weeks outdoors then we head back indoors. Keep up the hard work guys!!
Tuggeranong Boot Camp Week 6: Wednesday 17-2-10
Kristy should have been locked up this morning. Whoever invented coffee should be punished although for most the caffeine hit doesn’t last 13 hours!!! The girls arms were screaming with pain today as the weights and boxing came put. The girls put in a huge effort while trying not to get distracted by the crazy Pioneer staff member. Great work today girls and i am happy to say thank god we don’t have a Stavros Vlahos in the group, can you imagine?
Civic Boot Camp Week 2: Tuesday 16-2-10
A massive agility circuit this morning had the girls eyes popping out of their heads. That was until Kristy explained the circuit which included Medicine ball slams, gorilla crawls and even dumbbell burpees. They got to choose their first stations and they were off. That was until Kristy stopped them and told them she had a surprise. Sprints and toe taps for minute intervals. Gidge will be upset she missed this one! Two more weeks then we have fitness testing. Keep the intensity up girls. Swamz we may just have to have a Tuggies verse Civic event and let the girls go head to head!!
Tuggeranong Boot Camp Week 6: Monday 15-2-10
The heavens held back for Boot Camp this morning and thank god for that. Legs and cardio today had a few of the girls feeling a wee bit on the sick side. Anita was working so hard all Kristy and I could here when we walked past was her heart rate monitor beeping at us. Kristy gave us her rendition of Zumba and it looks like we may have to do a class to see what all the fuss is about. Great session today girls.
X-Training – Saturday 13/2/10
A wet start to the morning and a slow start for the group as penalties were given in the first 5 minutes to ensure there was no fluffy plans for the session. Once the group completed their laps, a milllllllion percent was put in and then the calorie burn started to climb. With Joyce fighting back a vomit, Karen fighting back foggy glasses, Christina pumping out 8 double under skips in a row, and my two favourite men paired up and smashing out a terrific session, a smile was brought to my face and the horrendous start to the session was forgiven. Well done crew!
Happy Valentines Day for tomorrow XXX
Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Friday 12/2/10
So there we were, standing in the dark at Pine Island watching the 5:40am sky light up with sheets of lightning. With girls already arriving to the session knowing our policy (unfortunately insurance doesn’t cover clients getting zapped), Rabsy and I made the decision to cancel the session and send everyone home indoors to do some work. Look out to anyone that went home to bed!
And if you haven’t seen them yet, check out Jennas and my new number plates. We got something special written on them just for you!
Boxing – Thursday 11/2/10
Boxing and Ab work for the group this evening, and when 4 of our ladies turned up in their own blue singlets (cranky because they can’t have Jennas and mine), I knew it was going to be one of those sessions. Despite all the laughter, and random style medicine ball work by some, we got through the entire session successfully. Jenna and I even put on our WWF trainer wrestling match (I win again Rabs!)
Civic Boot Camp Week 1: Thursday 11-2-10
It was the most random morning we have had yet! With Gidge doing her usual run past, we had dogs in baskets on bikes and we almost lost Kathy when her eyes went wondering. A massive effort to finish off the week with hill sprints and stair sprints, the girls put in a phenomenal effort and left Kristy and I on a high to finish off the week. Kristy Janja and I are pumped for fishing in March so guys if we don’t come back we may have been eaten by sharks!
