A big group rocked up for boxing tonight and Kristy served them up some combos. Not too difficult for the group as they kept up quite well. So we threw loads of pushups in to top it off. Blocks and Elbows were up next and the group now knows how to hit them with power. Great work to the group!

X-Training Saturday 17-10-9

X-Training was a blast this morning as we hit a circuit of skipping Lunges, burpees. The entire group getting a fabulous workout in the sun. Keep up the hard work guys and remember the key to energy and motivation is balance.
Tuggeranong Boot Camp ‘Games day’ – Friday 16/10/09
Our Tuggies girls got to pick the session today as a treat for the last week of a hard Boot Camp, and no suprises, it was games day! So with Jenna talking the Rabs V Swams competition up, it was on. A nice start to the session with Badminton and then the coloured team braids were out and it was Trainer V Trainer! Soccer started pretty even but then Romina and Jenna linked and of course I wasn’t wearing my spectacles and the ball went straight in the goal. Teigan then went into goalie, only to catch my eye disease and miss another one…2-0. Jenna then snapped one in again, but Teigs redeemed and got a bend it like beckham goal, which I’m sure circled the entire team before it went in. Time up. Comp scoreboard – Rabs Team 1, Swams team 0. Bring on the hockey! The girls went crazy with this one after a slow start worrying about how hard the puck was and how many teeth did we want left, but then caution was thrown out the door and the bogans were back! Jodie and Bri showed their skills with this one and performed quite a few moves out of mighty ducks, whilst Michelle kept up her rise to fame in team sports and scored another point. We took the game out, Swams Team 1 – Rabs Team 1. With Basketball as the decider the gloves were off and the girls were pumped for a win. With Romina on Jennas team we were on the back foot, and with Lynda deciding to tackle me and steal the ball, our team stepped up and took charge. The annie and sal wrestling continued to amuse everyone, but the funniest was seeing annie get so excited about getting open space she forgot to take the ball with her and still managed to nearly fall over 20 times within 3 metres. We pumped the points up and held the girls out, taking out the series! Go girls!!!! Swams – 2, Rabs – 1. A hysterical hour and no blood noses…. yee ha! Well done to all the girls for getting right into all the games, everyone had a great time laughing but put in a thowsand percent and it was great to see the co-ordination improving.
Jenna, John and I would like to wish Bri, Noni and Chris good luck in the Sprint triathlon tomorrow, and Helga and Lachy in the Novice Triathlon. Go Team Pioneer!
Don’t forget rest week next week, no personal training sessions or Boot Camp. Boxing and X-Training will still be on but look out Jenna and I will be super hyper!
Boxing – Thursday 15/10/09
Back into the great outdoors and guess what Laurens back!!!! Yee Ha! I was so excited I made her partner up with me! Jenna put the group through a hard quick session tonight, and kept the group guessing as instructions started to come out in japanese because the group couldn’t understand english! (or it may have been that I was distracting Loui and Venetia???) The groups arms will be a little shaky on the way home as there were some cracking punches being thrown, and caught. For those of you who stayed home thinking you were the clever ones not getting wet, it was a beautiful evening and not a drop on us, so now these guys are one up on you! Don’t forget we are now at Isabella Mackillop oval for Boxing until winter next year.
Civic Boot Camp Week 4: Thursday 15-10-909
The weather held up for the civic for the Civic girls today as we hit Interval sprints around the lake. The session was hard and the girls put in a thowsand percent! With Swamz at the back with Shiloh and John in the middle the girls had no chance of slacking off. We made most of the girls remember what they had for dinner the night before which is very hard to do now that they are ELITE athletes. Great session girls one week off then we go hard till Christmas.
Today was our first player’s choice session and the girls wanted Boxing with music! We kick started to CD player with Kristy’s new remix and may I say I hope it mysteriously disappears. Boxing and Abdominal work will have the group not being able to cough or laugh tomorrow. You girls better have recovered for Friday Pioneer games day. No holding back it is the Rabz VS Swamz final stand off. Look out girls make sure you bring your protective fitness gear and we better pad the walls up for me!!
Civic Boot Camp Week 4: Tuesday 13-10-09
The group were in fine form this morning as we boxed away for the hour. Kristy was in fine form in fact I’m pretty sure she had 3 Red Bulls before Boot Camp. Emelia also in fine form not knowing where her weights were or what direction to run. To top it off she was partnered with me! We have one more session then a week off let’s smash Thursday’s session, those weight vests might have to make an appearance.
Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Week 8: Monday 12/10/09
8 week fitness testing for the girls today and what a result! I had my crazy dancing feet on for the ladies as they smashed through their previous scores, proving this Boot Program was a ripper. The girls were pumped to do well in their 12min run, some of the girls even were prepped with their ipods! Margie was even happy to leave behind a cup of tea and her hot water bottle. Jenna, John and I are so proud of you girls, it makes all those arguements nearly worthwhile…. nearly. Have a top day, be extremely proud of yourselves. We have boxing on wednesday and games day friday to finish it off, yee ha!!
