We knew it was going to be a tough session when i had to tell the group to glove up 3 time before we started the session. As it turned out the group put in a massive session with pancakes, push ups and sit ups. Welcome to Wade and Kylie you guys put in a great effort.
Moto X Boys hit the red in training! – Wednesday 18/9/09
John and Charlie were treated to a massive session on the sand and stairs at Pine Island early this morning. With specific intensity training to simulate race heart rates the guys spent the session tiptoeing in the red on the polar training chart. With the Oceania champs racing in Canberra next week, our local boys are stepping it up ensuring that they are the fittest on the track on race day. Look out for the upcoming blogs on John giving me a couple of Moto X lessons! Now he gets to inflict some pain back, let’s see if I can stay on the bike???
Corporate Training
A glorious day to get out of the office and run around in the beautiful sun, to make it even better add in some tyres and some lunges and that tops off a great session. The groups mouths dropped as they saw them but im sure they were a little excited to play around with them too. We almost had carrots for lunch today but held it back as that would give me (the trainer) satisfaction. Nice work Adrian!! A massive well done to the whole group overall a great session and laughing still as they got back to the office.
X-Training – Saturday 15/8/09 – DOGGY DAY!!
As so many of our x-trainers have dogs sitting at home on a Saturday morning, Jenna and I thought we would have a “bring your doggy day”. So with over 20 people and 10 dogs to organise the group were in for a huge cardio circuit to make some space, get the dogs running and of course, burn some massive calories! Rich clocked up a massive 6.7kms, whilst some of the girls were pumping out between 700 and 950 calories! A very successful session, everyone put massive efforts in and reached targets set for them. And well done to Jenna for an awesome job at poop patrol! Hysterical!!!
Boxing Thursday 13/8/09
A huge group for Boxing tonight with some old faces returning and new ones arriving. Welcome back Tim and Darci. A new and warm welcome to Donna, Tim, Nat and Justine. What a session to come to as Kristy pulled out the old weights and gave the group as massive arm session. We hope none of you had to do a lot of lifting the next day. Great session had by all not long now till we can head outdoors again.
Civic Boot Camp – Thursday 13/8/09
What a finish to the Civic Indoor Boot Camp! We farewelled the blue room today as we finish the program to return to the great outdoors again. Jenna and I are ridiculously excited, there is nothing better then exercising outside. The civic girls have had an extremely successful program with everyone losing massive cm’s in their measurements. We worked out that each session is burning a minimum of 1cm of fat. Yee Ha! Wait until we hit Regatta Hill and stairs…. there will be nothing left of you girls! Enjoy your week off, see you Tuesday the 25th August, bright and early with white t-shirts on.
Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Gay Cammo Day! Wed 12/8/09
Another fantastic dress up morning for the tuggers girls! And weren’t there some crazy outfits. Again Michelle had everyone in hysterics with her wig and fishnet stockings. Felecitie got extremely creative with some metallic spray and coloured textas. I don’t think i have ever seen so much be-dazzling of outfits since the mardi-gras, so well done girls! I’m missing my handcuffs from this morning though, they were last seen with Jenna……
So that was the last session indoors for the year girls! Jenna and I would like to thank the girls at Mackillop for the sports equiptment and stereo use. We have a week off next week then we kick off back outside on Monday 24th August. There are only 4 spots left, so you need to get in quick!
Civic Boot Camp Week 5: Tuesday 11/8/09
City 2 Surf – 2009
11 Pioneers took part in the City 2 Surf Fun Run on Sunday and 11 Pioneers conquered! A chilly and long wait for the start was only entertaining due to the thowsands of jumpers and jackets flying through the air as people stripped down ready to run. 14kms of music, laughter, sticky gatorade shoes, dodging people, dancing people on pup roofs, hoses and posing with funny characters! A beautiful jog and as it was most of the Pioneers first time, everyone soaked up the atmosphere and had a ball! A big congrats to everyone that particpated, we are extremely proud of you! Bring on 2010!
