Tuggeranong Boot Camp Week 4: Monday 1st of June
31 May 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
A mixed session this morning as Kristy and I worked the girls in for a very intense 4 weeks ahead. Sprints, travelling lunges and some burpees too, the girls didn’t even bat an eye lid when i told them there would be no water break till the end. The competitiveness was coming out in the girls as those sprints got faster and faster. Az had to clarify that we were not sprinting into a wall and Venetia and Anita were neck and neck in the sprints.
Next 4 weeks girls will be SUPER intense so take care of those bodies we have results to achieve. Check out more photos from this morning on “more photos”.
Corporate Training Barton

Jenna has been running boot camp sessions at lunch time twice a week for us at Barton for the past 18 months. We have been having a ball. There is a core group that started and others have joined in when they have seen the benefits. Jenna is extremely variable with content of exercises and accommodates/modifies for people with injuries. Injury list for us include bad backs, knees, feet, and wrists, and heart surgery so there is no excuse for people not to join! Even after all this time, Jenna still manages to mix the sessions so we are not bored, exhausted but definitely not bored!!!!!!
Jenna is always encouraging and the despite the sessions been hard work they are also very social. Kristy filled in while Jenna was off jet setting and her sessions where just as good. Thanks Jenna and Kristy
X-Training – Saturday 30/5/09

When the Vlahos sisters turned up for their first x-training session we were worried that the cheekiness would get out of control when they met annie and louie, but with the pairs at opposite end of the line for the session, we were saved! However there was alot of chit chat and good humour throughout the session, generally led by Richard who seems to be feeling alot better now clearly! Noni had fantastic running in her streamline suit, whilst Annie pumped out some beautiful pushups on her toes!!!
X-Training will still be on as usual next week at 8am, and our special guests returning from Melbourne for the weekend, Anna and Gen are super pumped to see everyone again!

A fresh morning today not that it bothered us because we were happily indoors. A game of soccer to start us off this morning with my team (Jenna’s) winning 2-0. Mind you Felicitie took it into her own hands tackling Bec around the waist and driving her into the wall. It had already had been a massive week of upper and lower body Kristy decided to finish the girls off with a massive leg session. Starting of with travel lunges and imaginary chair apparently the words “i hate you” are now just as common as the word burn!! The girls put in a smashing effort to finish off the week and we hope to still see you all at x-training on Saturday. Check out more photos from this mornings session top left hand corner.
Players of the week go to: 3 points Venetia, 2 points Sally, 1 point Bec

A great session from everyone, and I’m sure everyones ears are still ringing from the noise we were making!!!

Torrie’s Success Story
28 May 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
Torrie’s story is nothing short of success. Torrie started with Pioneer Training October 2008 when her lovely house mates Gen and Anna suggested she join our Boot Camp. Already a member of a gym Torrie had plateaued in her training and needed a kick start. Since joining our Tuggeranong Boot Camp Torrie is now unstoppable. From doing just Boot Camp, Torrie now does Civic Boot Camp as well and personal training. Torrie is on a personalized strength program to suit her body and needs. Not only is Torrie dedicated to every session but encourages everyone else. Torrie also joins in all our adventures from Triathlons, Caving, abseiling and white water rafting. Torrie knows that we pride ourselves on results and her goals are our priority. Torries dedication so far has lead her to a massive 68.5Cm’s off her girth measurements and 17kg. Great work Tor keep up the hard work!

The girls staggered in to the hall this morning complaining of sore legs from Monday, but we had already taken the nice option of smashing their abs today so smiles were back! With a boxing and weight circuit to break up the abdominal work, the girls today learn’t exactly how long 5 seconds was and then impersonated superman with their quick launches over to the mats! With miles of army crawls, thowwsands of plank, millions of crunches and pulses, the girls were happy to get off those damn mats! Girls we have cm’s to lose and arms to buff up, Amy is getting married, and of course we all want to look great as bridesmaids!!!!!
All the hoodies have been sold and a second order has been made, get your money in quick to ensure you don’t miss out!

A fabulous morning this morning as our civic girls rocked up for a calorie smashing workout. With a circuit and sprints for an hour ahead of them, the girls were put through their paces of upper, lower and evil exercises. The sprints were sometimes questionable but but there was no question about how hard the med ball was slammed, in fact so hard that it split! A huge session by everyone and Toni burning a massive 827 calories that’s HUGE!!! Welcome to our two new girls Lauren and Claire and a huge welcome back to our lovely Janja.
