Jenna’s PT of the Week

My Pt’s of the week go to Nikki and Johnny.  Nikki and Johnny have been training with me for about 3 months.  In these sessions between the two of them there is nothing but encouragement from both of them.  As they both have different goals, training is made interesting each session to cater for both of their needs and goals.  Strength, endurance and speed for upper and lower body keeps results rolling in with Nikki losing her bum and Johnny’s upper body strength going through the roof look out Arnie!!

Nikki and Johnny you both are a real pleasure to train and as a couple training even better!!

My Personal Training legend of the week goes to Una. Over the last month Una has out done herself in her sesssions and has committed herself to smashing her best in her strength and cardio programs. With Una’s goal as “just being able to get better in everything”, the variety of training has seen different challenges set and PB’s broken! Una’s attitude to her training sessions is awesome. Not once does she whinge or try and make excuses, she just smiles (usually in disbelief perhaps shock) at the challenge and then off we go!

Well done Una on all the goals we have achieved so far! Keep up the great work!

As we approach Realy for life a good group turned out for our last training session.  The group put in 100% runs to top off what has been a very successful 10 week training program leading up to the event.  All we have to do now is come first and smash all the other teams.  Good luck to everyone on the day Kristy and i will be super hyperactive spending the whole time out at the track supporting our Pioneers.  Thankyou to everyone who showed up to trainings and put in their very best.

With Kristy having a sleep in today i pulled out the medicine balls and put the group through a solid upper body and Ab workout.  Out came the grunts as we hurled the med balls into the wall for some quick pick up and speed work.  The group got dirty as the slammed the balls into the ground and then felt it was funny to wipe dirt on my face.  It is OK Darce only a couple of days till PT you will keep!!  Welcome to Nikki and Johnny traveling from north side to join us today.  Great work guys everyone had a blinder of a session.

A huge boxing and cardio session today with cowboys and Indians well Annie and Felicitie anyway.  The group were put through their paces today and goals were set, that there was no stopping until the girls with heart rate monitors burnt a total of 4000 calories.  You better believe it was quickly achieved with the whole group stepping up to the challenge.  Great way to finish off week two girls.  Next weeks theme is Batman and Robbin or Bat girl!!!!  Keep in mind DO NOT TOUCH THE TRAINERS HAHAHHA

Player of the day points go to 3 points Lynda J, 2 points Carla, 1 point Venetia

Boxing – Thursday 19/3/09

A quick hard session of boxing tonight, even though it was super tough, there was still plenty of cheekiness happening and of course penalties were given. And no Felecitie, it’s not just Loui who is the naughty one! You are both as bad as each other! A great effort from our newbies today as well! And look out Steve, our token boy for the night, not content with the easy squat hold he was doing, I jumped on his back and he had to hold me up as well, awesome strength!! One more week of the great outdoors then daylight savings is finished, stay tuned to hear our new indoor location.

The civic girls are now getting pretty cluey to the fact if the back of the work utes are free from torturess equiptment, then Jenna and I are up for a run! Straight away the smiles disappeared and the anxious faces were out. So once we had kidnapped everyones keys, we were off again for another run for the week, this time over the bridge and to the hill! Not another hill they say! So instead of boxing and sprints, this time we had plyos and sprints. What a week for the girls! Kel burnt a whopping 749 calories in Tuesdays session and 741 in todays session! Look out, she is on a mission. A big mention to our new girls, Trace, Rachel, Sandy and Michelle, who are all doing a fantastic effort in their first ever boot camp! And of course well done to our regulars who are still smashing themselves every session whilst supporting all the newbies. Top group girls, Jenna and I are loving every day with you!

A huge effort down at Pine Island today and that is an understatement!  With all the girls with glow sticks on their wrists Kristy and i had no problem spotting the team as they ran down the hill. Thank You Scotty!  A warmer morning than Monday the girls endured a massive session of skipping hill intervals and circuit runs.  Only two penalties given all session but besides that FANTASTIC effort by everyone. One of our biggest calorie burning session so far with kimbo burning nearly 700 and Nat 450 and rising as she left.  Great work girls!

Player of the day points go to: 3 points Sa,l 2 points Nat, 1 point Felicitie

A smashing session by the girls today with most of them achieving goals they thought they couldn’t do.
A boxing running adventure covering 4kms around the stunning lake in the city.  With loads of hard core punching and hill sprints to top it all off, you girls made Kristy and I super proud of what you all achieved.  The best part was you were all still smiling at the end.  Way to kick off week two girls way to go!!!!

The girls put in an amazing performance this morning with 10 laps of the 400m track and a million step exercises! A huge effort for the entire group as not one person rested in their runs. Another huge calorie burner, and more centimetres gone forever!  Pine Island on Wednesday girls, bring it on!
