A tough skipping session today got the girls revisiting breakfast within the first 15min of the hour. As we warmed into the skipping and running we then smashed through some stair sprints and a couple of hundred running man to boot. Did I forget to mention this was all with having to run/sprint half way around the lake at different areas to complete all of this??  An awesome effort for everyone to keep pushing through and to get through such a high intense session, without any rests. Even Jenna ended up in a singlet, and she rocked up in our winter jacket!!!

After a huge weekend at Relay for life Kristy put the girls through a 400 metre boxing sprint combo.  the look on the girls faces would have been priceless if 1 we could see in the dark and 2 they didn’t have black face paint on (Annie and Felicitie).  But as always the group stepped up and put on a massive effort. I take my hat off to you ladies you keep amazing me every week!!! A huge warm welcome to our new ladies Ruth and Ariane .

As Kristy and Kim-maree put up the tents Pioneer Training were in for a long 24 hours of hard core running.  The 12 weeks of training was now put in place at the AIS track as we ran for 24 hours to raise money for cancer.  It started off with a bang as our first team of Pioneers set the standard with some super quick running laps. With over 2000 people racing against us we were on a mission!  Within 6 hours out of the 24 we were already a good 80 laps in front of where we were last year! Kristy was also 3 Red Bulls in front of last year too! With a massive team of 60 pioneers out to hammer last years record of 614 laps, lap records were smashed also with Andrew running in a 1min 01 second lap, whilst Carla held it for the girls with a quick 1min 11 lap.

The final 10 second countdown was the saving grace for our last group as we knew it was close, and we were doing our best (on no sleep) to get around that track as quick as we could to get those few extra laps. So we handed in our score sheets with a tally of 715 laps in 24 hours. A huge total of 286km! Pioneer Training had come 2nd again but we had beat last years score by a staggering 101 laps! And again beat every other fitness company out there!!! A brilliant effort from everyone that raced! We are faster and stronger than this time last year.

Donations are still coming in for our team, so boast to all your friends, family and co-workers about how well we all did, and get some more sponsorship money for the ACT Cancer Council, we want to have a final tally of $6000. You can do this by logging on to the Relay for life website, or just see Kristy or Jenna.

Kristy and Jenna would like to thank everyone that participated, sponsored, and supported the Relay 4 life this year. We had a fantastic time and it was amazing to see the individual and team efforts put in on the track, with so many of our team achieving their own personal goals! You are all deadset legends!

As Friday hit it had been a huge week for the girls.  As we begun the session Kristy and i had a pretty good feeling that the girls were in a ridiculously silly mood.  The only way to train hard, get the girls heart rates up and keep the smiles on their faces, four words for you, STUCK IN THE MUD!!  The game went OFF, using all the fitness we have taken them through sprints, endurance and all the time heart rates were up burning calories.  Next was rob the nest and all i have to say about this is CHEATERS!!!

Our little Kristy had her cranky face on as she PUNISHED the group in a massive boxing session with skipping and sprints.  Annie challenged me in a skipping contest and beat the pants off me and those jab cross from Sara looked like she had been training with Mr Ali.  Well done to our two new couple David and Kelly who had a great first session and best of all no Vomit!!! Great work tonight guys

After the ugly step session the girls had to endure on Tuesday, there was some concerned checks of the back of the utes this morning as people arrived. Last week if there was no equiptment they panicked, now I think they have worked out some equiptment is worse than having to run! But what was in the little blue sacks that nearly got the girls vomiting today??? A ridiculously hard cardio sessions with some medicine balls just for fun!!! Even the bats were screaming with horror! (Which made Jenna, our resident sooky la la scream)

Top effort from everyone today girls! Congratulations to Michelle for the reason for those beautiful nails!

Heaven help the group for this mornings session as it took unbelievable endurance, guts and determination to get through this one today! The girls sprinted and ran over 7kms of pine island hill today and not once did I hear anyone whinge! We explained to the girls this mornings session, and left it up to them what attitude they were going to complete this session with, and Jenna and I have to applaude you girls, you were amazing. EVERYONE put in a million percent! Not even thowwwsands anymore…MILLIONS!!! Everyone in the group put in 100% for every sprint and hill run. This session will be remembered for a long time, and I’m sure this mornings group will need a couple of days to recover!

Player of the day points today go to EVERYONE for 3!!!!!

Just as our Civic girls thought the dark would make the sessions a little easier their legs today were taught otherwise.  We started off the morning with our usual song from Kristy “in my sack, in my sack” and off we went.  A wicked step session was put into place and Kristy is now known as the wicked step queen.  Brilliant session by everyone and massive effort to up the intensity again stretch out those legs girls your going to need them for Thursdays session.!!!

Just when the girls didn’t think kambah oval could get any harder with the 400m sprints, out come the tyres!!! Luckily they didn’t have to take the tyre around with them…it was waiting for them afterwards for a 100m dash with it. So with km’s run, tyres dragged, millions of running man, and thowwsands of pushups, session number 7 is complete! Only 17 more to go….

Player of the day points today go to Julie-Ann -3, Kim – 2, and Nat – 1.
