A huge upper body session today with weights and med balls, with the rest time being running and airbike! Yay! Everyone showing beautiful technique with the weights, and some great running to get back to their other two partners to releive them of the burn. Great session to everyone! We will see you next week, then remember we are meeting at Red Rooster in Qbyn at 9:15am to drive down to the coast for our beach boot camp and learn to surf adventure!!! Yee Ha!
Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Friday 20/2/09
The girls had to find their happy place today as their ‘Suprise’ for this mornings session was a time trial around Lake Tuggeranong! The group together were extremely close with only 13min from the front runners to the back runners over the entire course, which was awesome for such a diverse group of ages and running experience! Jenna and I were amazed at how amazing you girls did today, I know it put me in a crazy mood for the day!!! First across the post was blado and Bec in times of 33min! All you girls did so well, that again this boot camp we couldn’t seperate the group for POD points so everyone this time gets 2 points each!!!! You girls are on fire!!!!
Boxing – Thursday 20/2/09
Mischief for tonights boxing session, with hundreds of calories burnt along the way! With all the kiddies enjoying the weather and the chance to have a play together, the parents let loose and smashed out a terrific session. Jenna set the new fashion, not happy with her super expensive runners, she donned the latest season in footwear. And clearly I thought little Josh’s gloves were a tad more exciting than our regular ones!!! Another fun evening with Pioneer Training……
Civic Boot Camp – Thursday 19/2/09
We treated the girls to a scenic session today by the lake since such a beautiful morning had been put on for us. Whilst the group weren’t quite as appreciative as Jenna and I were of the beautfiul sky, the cranky 6am faces quickly wore off as they took it out on the pads, in a quick boxing and sprints session. We were also blessed with a very lengthy and amusing visit from Paco, who was going home with me if he hung around any longer (not allowed to go with Jenna, she vacuums dogs….). A great effort today girls, it’s awesome to see our brand newbie girls doing so well! Your fitness has improved out of sight! Last week next week girls, and another surprise on Tuesday…..dum da-da dum. We are going bat hunting!!! Nah, just jokin! Have a great weekend! Behave yourselves!
Tuggeranong Boot Camp Wednesday 18/02/09
Out of the toy box and onto the grass. Kristy and i pulled out everything but the tractor tyre today for a super session. Tyres, steps, vests and weights everyone had a super session today not stopping for the whole hour. Great work by everyone, we hope your ready for the surprise on Friday can you guess!!

Civic Boot Camp Tuesday Week 3 17/02/09
The tyres were out and the challenge was on, no one leaves till Bri does 500 calories. As we headed off to location carrying the tyres the girls that had never done it before were a little bit nervous about the whole thing. Once we got going it wasn’t as bad as they thought until Kristy added in sprints and push ups. You girls smashed it today pulling out everything you had. Bri pulling off a huge effort and hitting 490 calories and awesome work to the whole group for encouraging her. One more week to go!!
Tuggeranong Boot Camp: Week 7 – Monday 16/2/09
A classic session today with everyone burning huge calories. In the Freezing cold a great turn out as always the girls put in 200% in a massive Plyometric and cardio session. Even Nat and Blado burnt up to 400 calories today nice work girls. With only a few sessions left before fitness testing Kristy and i are blown away every session by the commitment and effort by everyone. Thanks girls for making our job awesome every day. Now enough of the soft talk keep that level of intensity up or it’s penalties!!!
Player of the day points go to 3 points Blado, 2 points Margie, 1 point Felicitie
Soccer – Sunday 15/2/09
Our toughest game for the year tonight only winning 2-0, but only picking up the last goal in the last 5 minutes of the game. Thank God Fiona was on fire in the goals, as they had a few firing at her. The other team kept us running all over the field, but we kept it together despite a few frantic moments and came away with the win.
Still undefeated, and only 2 more games to go…. we need to win both to win the entire competition. Go Princesses!
Kristy’s PT of the Week
My PT of the week this week goes to Annie! An absolute competitor in everything she does, Annie has already started 2009 off with a Bang. Completing the Canberra Challenge 5km Fun Run without any stops at all, smashing the record for the BoneCracker workout, and lifting weights that women half her age wouldn’t dare look at! Annie is also to be recognised for her teammate ship amongst other members of Pioneer Training. She is constantly encouraging and complimenting other participants. Annie you are awesome to train, I wish everyone had the same guts, determination and commitment to the their training as you do. And I hope when I am your age, I too can do what you do. And yes, thank you for all your cheekiness, you make every session very amusing!
Relay for Life Training – Saturday 14/2/09
A great training session today by the group, but after a smashing in X-Training today, some of the runners who were doing both sessions were just buggered after their first 100% run! And unfortunately the times weren’t quite up there with their best. Lachy burn’t an amazing 2660 calories in x-training and relay for life today!!! Yes i typed it right…2660! So all the effort was there, Jenna and I just got way too excited in X-Training! Once again, great encouragement amongst the group for one another and a great opportunity to meet new people. It’s awesome to also see everyone beating their times each week.
