Tuggeranong Boot Camp Friday

Some were unsure when they looked at the name of today’s session “Bermuda Triangle”. Gen quickly remembered when she saw all the cones set up, her smile quickly became, a not so big smile. What a huge session though. Once the girls all got up and rolling the only thing that could stop us were the sprinklers coming up from under us. For Kristy and I though it just meant another reason for a quick sprint. Smashing session today girls week one down so bring on next week.
Boxing – Thursday

A beautiful evening for Boxing this evening with combinations lined up for the girls. After working into it nice and slow the girls tested out the guns with some hooks, uppercuts, blocks and backhands. An awesome show of co-ordination and quick hands showed by all to ensure no-one left with a black eye! Well done to our new girls Kristen and Karen who after fits of giggles found their way quickly through the tyrade of moves!

Civic Boot Camp – Thursday

Just when the girls thought they could actually walk again from Tuesdays session, we hit them with another huge one consisting of kickboxing and leg strength. No hills though, we were being nice! A tough one that will have them struggling for a few days as we head into upper and cardio next week. Well done to Connie who put in a valiant effort today and did double as she was paired up with me, and look out Kathy when we see you next…. don’t ever take a day off boot camp and turn you mobile phone off! We will come to your house next time!

Civic Boot Camp – Week 1 Tuesday

A great return for our Civic girls today with a huge hill and leg session to wake them up from their week off. With quite a few girls not able to attend today the group was nice and small and raring to have a head start. After the hour on the hill though I don’t think the girls will ever look at Regatta Point the same way again! Good work today girls, we got the cobwebs out and are looking forward to a big session on Thursday. See you then!

Pioneer Princesses Soccer Game #2

You wouldn’t believe it we won another game!! 5 – 2 was the end score with Bec scoring 2 Akers 1 and myself (Jenna) scoring 2. It would have been a THOWSAND to 2 if we could actually get half our shots in the goal. Kim knocked over a poor 12 year old with her chest then fell on top of her, that’s the way Kimmo take them out one by one. Fiona did some great goal keeping which helped us stay on top. The coach of the other team thought we all played soccer, when i told him half the team were league and union players he was quite amused with how well we all played. Great work girls we had another unreal game. Look out finals here we come.

Bring it on!!!! Nothing but class all the way girls, well done!
Accepting the trophy! Baptizing the trophy!
The Dragon’s Abreast Dragon Boat Regatta was held today with a record 37 teams taking part! Pioneer Training held their own in the first race against a quick group coming in at 1min flat for second place. Our second heat was nerve wracking as we took the line against very male dominated teams, but after we exchanged friendly banter to the other teams at the start line we settled in and focused on our job ….and took out first place! So with a second and first place we cruised through to the final. Unfortunately this race was super close and we had to wait for ages for the decision as we were the first race to call upon the video replay as our team and another team seemed to draw for first place! After much deliberation it was decided we took second place. Not to worry though, our girls had smashed most of the men out of the lake today and we picked up 1 first place and 2 seconds! And might we add the fastest female team on the water.
The Pioneer Team would like to thank Drew our sweep for all his help in training and in the race, may he wear his Pioneer hat with pride! Thank you also to Jenny B for taking some awesome photos and to MIchael, Dennis, Taylah and Hannah for getting some great video and camera footage of our girls at their finest! Thank you to Ann and Dennis for hosting the celebrational pool party! Yee Ha!
Jenna and I would like to thank our girls on the boat today for an amazing performance! You made us extremely proud, and we received great comments from the crowd and teams on how well you went and how fit and awesome you look! We could kiss you all!!!!!!!!
As for the girls still kicking on at the after party…please don’t lose the damn trophy!
