Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Wednesday

A little colder than Monday but the ladies turned out in force for what they knew was going to be a killer session. THOWSANDS of lunges and THOWSANDSof running laps later the girls were still going strong.  Military press was next in line and some were wondering why they were having trouble lifting the bar to put it on their backs for lunges again.  A massive session with kimmo burning a whopping 661 calories.  Bring on Monday!!

Player of the day goes to 3 points Lynda 2 points Jodie 1 point Akers

A fresh start to the morning with Kristy telling the girls i was away sick.  Little did they know as they began to do their warm up run about a kilometre up the road i was awaiting them with an agility and abs session. Some were a little surprised other just spoke with their tongues.  A huge session over all burning 545 calories.  Overall a fantastic session by everyone.

Tuggeranong Boot Camp – Week 6: Monday

A big super circuit sprint session for this mornings boot camp, ensuring quite a few people re-tasted dinner from last night. A massive effort from everyone made it extremely hard to do pod points which had Jenna and myself on the phone for a while debating who we would give it to.

Well done to Coops – 3, Romina – 2 and Felicitie – 1.

Horseriding Adventure – Sunday

9 Pioneers embarked on the Cowgirl adventure today, some more aprehensive than others, some reliving their youth, and some just excited to give it a go. The day started well with Kim-Maree being bitten by a horse as we walked by the stables. It then got even better when we were paired with our horses and then that one decided to take a piece of her thigh! As soon as Coops got on her horse he wanted to take off straight away, I’m sure he stopped just because her squeal scared him! (And yes Coops we don’t have any weight issues, it’s all in your “head”!) Kristy posed for a photo with her horse Glen, who names a horse that anyway!, and Glen got a bit too excited if you know what I mean…. gross! Helga our local cowgirl had the biggest horse ever, with the biggest poo ever! Jenna just wanted to take off at a million miles an hour and couldn’t understand why not. Little Hannah had it nailed after 3 minutes and spent most of the day trying to keep her horse away from Glen’s teeth. Ana had trouble with the trotting and is still wondering how she will sit down for the next week! Taylah and her horse spent the entire trip trying to escape from the group and ride off into the sunset. Felicitie clearly combatted any fears she might have had as she spent most of her trip backwards on her horse trying to calm down Kristy when she was hysterical, and had to deal with her horse that stopped for the longest pee ever recorded! And I’m sure next time Scotty comes she will ensure that she has some kind of head cam as riding a horse and trying to take photos doesn’t quite work! I’m sure there is only 2 usable shots out of 40. Bring on the weekend trail ride trip!

X-Training – Saturday

Suicides and strength were set out for Saturday morning. And a few people had some friday night drinks to work off, so a big session was put into place. Welcome to Jo and Christine who put in a great performance for what was quite a tough x-training session. After quite a few arguments between Jo and Kristy (she loves arguing with men!), Jo sucked it up and carried on with what he should be doing….according to Kristy! A great enjoyable morning in the sunshine, with a terrific group and a lot of laughs. Pioneer Rocks!

A run through the Urambi Hills this morning with boxing as their rest, had the girls quiet as they fought to get the oxygen into their lungs! The girls did awesome to keep up a pace that reduced Kristy to a singlet to try and lead the pack.

Player of the day points went to: Jennifer – 3, Ann – 2, Annie – 1. Great running girls!

Boxing – Thursday

The girls showing off their team shirts at a big cardio session for Boxing tonight! With running suicides and boxing intervals the group a massive 715 calories was stripped off. Welcome to Scott, one of our newbies of the night, who was reduced to knee pushups very quickly. Suck it up Scott! Hence he walked out with personal training booked in! Great job to the group overall who only got rest for one drink break the whole hour!

Civic Boot Camp – Thursday

A beautiful morning for the civic girls who were a little grumbly from their sore legs from tuesday. What a way to stretch that stiffness out than with a huge kickboxing session! Ha! We thought Jess was going to swallow her tongue when we said we were doing a big leg session! A terrific effort from everone today though, the girls already stepping up a notch heading for a tough but rewarding remaining 3 weeks!  Congrats to Kel who hit 700 calories! Amazing results for a partnered session!

Player of the day points went to: Ann-Maree – 3, Jess – 2 and Sam – 1.

A team challenge today up Urambi hill got the girls to wake up quick smart with prizes and glory up for grabs! The girls received points depending on what equiptment they used, and how many exercises they performed. A fantastic job done all round by the girls. Special mention must go to Lee for one of the best temper tantrums I’ve seen this week. Stamping feet and all!

Big kick off into the second civic program with some new girls getting a tough session of the jelly legs. The group did a great job with a good run and lunge interval out to the stairs for their smashing and then managed to jog all the way back without stopping! A very breezy morning for Jess, an interesting look for Ann-Maree (pictured above) and a huge 675 calories to Janja!

Player of the day points go to: Connie – 3, Kathy – 2 and Kel – 1. Top effort girls!
