A cranky early Monday morning from the girls sending them into multiple punishments to snap them out of it. The girls will be finding sand in all sorts of places after having to get down and dirty today. Player of the day points went to Ann – 3, Jodie – 2 and Anita – 1.

The Royals Womens Rugby Union Team took on Uni-Norths yesterday at Viking Park for the 2008 Premiership. Royals had an awesome year this year only struggling the last few games of the season due to numbers and injuries. But despite not having the best lead up to the grand final the girls won a fast paced and very physical game 22 to 5. Congrats to Bec Fitzgerald, Mel Akers and Caryn Scott (in photo above) who played awesome and put on quite a show for the Pioneer Groupies who ventured out to support. And no you girls can’t have Boot Camp off on Monday!!

Well, I’m sure all my clients would be happy to see the pain on my face and I can hear you all now, “Suck it up, Kristy!” I get nice shots of Jenna’s muscles, she gets the special one of my face whilst I’m trying to not blow a foo-foo valve! Yes we are sore, Yes Jenna’s mood darkened throughout the hour. Thank god tomorrow’s workout is just a lake run!

A cloudy morning opened up to let the sun shine on the dedicated Pioneers who were up for a huge session this morning with the tyres and logs! The group hammered through and at halfway and finish points faced gruelling ab workouts. And yes I do have photos of certain people writhing in pain! We will save that for the end of year DVD!

Clearly our legs are sore from the jump session we did so today we hit the basics for upper body. We cleared 80 proper chin ups and 100 pushups to get Jenna back into the swing of things and mixed it with a tough back weights session.

The girls knew they were in for a big one today when they struggled to get through the warm up. A huge task ahead of them, the girls took the challenge to try and finish within the hour time frame! A few collapsed with exhaustion and pain along the way, but bravely got up to complete what they had started. We are proud to say everyone completed today’s task, no-one will be able to walk tomorrow and the girls have had a tremendous week this week. If this is the quality of the performance we are going to have, the girls are going to be unstoppable by week 8! Yee Ha!

After a very one sided game of soccer for warm-up we had Kickboxing for tonights session at the MPowerdome. Knee and kick combos combined with leg strength and running left the group collapsed on the floor at various stages of the evening!

Getting Jenna to work off those American Nachos! I introduced her to the mother of all jump sessions. Max out on the ute, then to the Badbag, to the step and then normal ground jump squats. All of that X 4. Then Deadlifts and Jump Lunges max X 4 then a 9km run! Yee ha! Another tough day at the office!

A good introduction into hill work today just to give the girls a piece of what is instore for next week! Well done girls, you survived Week 1!

A whopping 620 calories burnt in today’s huge cardio session! Top effort by the group, clearly not enough though if there are still smiles at the end of the session for the camera! Jenna was back and back with a vengence! Suckers…..
